PIPE COUPLING
In an aspect a pipe coupling arrangement includes two end members, each having a pipe attachment end and a sealing end that engages the other's sealing end. Each sealing end includes radially inner and outer collars, which are radially separated by a pocket. When the sealing ends engage one another the pockets form a chamber. At least one seal member is positioned in the chamber. An alignment ring fits in the chamber, aligning the end members. A coupling pushes the end members towards each other, compressing the at least one seal member sufficiently to seal against fluid leakage. The inner collars engage one another while the outer collars of the end members are axially spaced apart by a gap selected to reduce to zero upon application of a selected clamping force on the end members, thereby limiting deformation of the outer collars.
Coupler and clean connection device having the same
Herein is a coupler and a clean connection device having the same, which can automate a series of operations for connecting and disconnecting a male coupler to and from a female coupler, clean and dry a wetted portion, drain residual liquid of chemicals together with cleaning water without external leakage in safety when the coupler is separated, and clean and dry the wetted surface before connection and after separation, thereby enabling a clean connection.
SYSTEM FOR COUPLING TWO TUBES
The system comprises a clamping collar (10) having a clamping band (14) suitable for being tightened around the abutting ends (12A, 12′A) of the two tubes (12, 12′). The collar (10) has a retaining tab (30) that presents a fastener portion (32) whereby said retaining tab (30) is fastened to the band (14) of the collar and that extends substantially axially towards an attachment portion (34) of said retaining tab (30) whereby said retaining tab is suitable for being attached to the first tube (12) in the vicinity of its first end (12A).
POLYMER-LINED PIPES AND FITTINGS WITH REPLACEABLE COMPONENTS
A pipe or fitting having a polymer liner and a replaceable component including an outer ring having an outside diameter matching the inside diameter of the pipe or fitting, a polymer liner bonded to the outer ring and having an inside diameter matching the inside diameter of the liner of the pipe or fitting. The replaceable component is disposed in an inlet or outlet of the pipe or fitting so as to form a continuous bore lined with a polymer.
DISSIMILAR METAL CONNECTION AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SUCH A DISSIMILAR METAL CONNECTION
A dissimilar metal connection arrangement comprising a dissimilar metal connection between a first member made of a first metal and having a first end, and a second member made of a second metal different from said first metal with regard to its metallurgical behavior, and having a second end, wherein the first end of the first member is fixedly connected to the second end of the second member. An increased lifetime of the connection is achieved by arranging a heating means at said dissimilar metal connection for controlled heating of said dissimilar metal connection.
Pipe flange alignment and leveling pins
Pipe flange alignment leveling pins are disclosed to square a flange. The pins include a first and a second cylindrical magnet each configured to have a hollow axis and a positive radial pole and a negative radial pole. A first and a second chamfered hollow pin are engineered to axially receive a respective cylindrical magnet, the chamfer of each pin on an end configured complementary to a flange hole chamfer. A non-magnetic core is engineered to axially slide in and out of the hollow axis of the magnets received into respective pins wherein each of a pair of apparatus resemble a bow tie in cross section configured to align a pair of flanges in two places for a level operation. A level is set across a first and a second assembly of chamfered pins to determine a level flange ready for welding.
FLANGE JOINT ASSEMBLY FOR USE IN A GAS TURBINE ENGINE
A flange joint assembly includes a first structure including a first flange and a second structure including a second flange coupled to the first flange to form a joint therebetween. The second flange includes a radially outer surface. The flange joint assembly also includes a compression ring coupled to at least the radially outer surface and configured to apply a compressive force to the radially outer surface to reduce an amount of tension stress within said second flange.
Clamp
A clamp comprising: a first arcuate portion; a second arcuate portion hingedly connected to the first arcuate portion; and a ratchet mechanism for locking the first and second arcuate portions in a closed position; wherein the ratchet mechanism comprises a linear rack provided with the second arcuate portion and a pawl provided with the first arcuate portion for receiving the linear rack; wherein the linear rack comprises one or more asymmetrical teeth and the pawl comprises a finger which is configured to engage with the teeth of the linear rack. The pawl is formed by a module which is detachably connected to the first arcuate portion
Exhaust clamp and method
An assembly is provided including a clamp comprising a band having an annular groove defined therein. The annular groove is defined between a pair of curved band surface sections joined to a substantially flat band surface section when the clamp is viewed in cross-section. The assembly also includes a substantially cylindrical body having an axis. A flared flange extends radially outwardly from the cylindrical body. A retaining clip extends from the flared flange. The band clamp is secured to the conduit such that the flared flange of the conduit is positioned within the band, and the retaining clip of the conduit is secured to the band.
PIPE REPAIR KIT
A pipe repair apparatus is provided. The pipe repair apparatus includes a cap. The cap includes a cylinder shape having a front edge forming an opening into the cap, a rear edge forming an opening into the cap, and at least a first side edge and a second side edge. The cap may further include a cap flange formed at the front edge having a first bend in a direction towards a central longitudinal axis of the cap and a second bend in a direction away from the central longitudinal axis of the cap. The cap is sized to fit over a pipe so that the first side edge overlaps the second side edge. A clamp secures the cap to the pipe.
