A gas-generating pyrotechnic composition has a high gas yield while having reduced generation of condensable species and a limited combustion temperature.

Fire Suppression System Remote Monitoring

A fire suppression system has a plurality of tank units (40, 42, 44, 46) each having: a tank body having a first port and an interior for storing at least one of fire suppressant and driver gas; a discharge assembly mounted to the first port and comprising: a discharge valve (50, 52); and a first monitoring switch or sensor (230; 240). A first monitoring unit (100) is coupled to the first monitoring switch or sensor of each said tank unit and configured to communicate with a remote monitoring location. For each of the tank units there is: a second monitoring switch or sensor (260, 280, 290); and a second monitoring unit (340) coupled to said second monitoring switch or sensor and configured to communicate with the remote monitoring location.

Method for extinguishing a flame front and extinguishing device

A flame front in a gas pipeline is extinguished by introducing an extinguishing agent at an overpressure at an extinguishing zone of the pipeline. Using an overpressure provides a better and finer atomization of the extinguishing agent, and permits a greater amount of the extinguishing agent to be provided in the extinguishing zone per unit time. In addition, a sealing fluid is introduced at sealing zone of the pipeline. Gas flowing through the pipeline must flow through the sealing fluid in the sealing zone. Preferably, movement of a flame front from one side of the sealing zone to the other side of the sealing zone is prevented or reduced by the sealing fluid.

BATTERY ARRANGEMENT WITH AN EXTINGUISHING DEVICE AND MOTOR VEHICLE
20230125689 · 2023-04-27 · ·

A battery arrangement with a battery housing in which at least one battery element is arranged. The battery arrangement includes an extinguishing device which has at least one extinguishing unit which is also arranged in the battery housing. The extinguishing unit includes a housing element and an extinguishing agent which is arranged in a cavity in the housing element. The extinguishing unit has a detonation mechanism which is designed to cause a detonation of the housing element and a release of the extinguishing agent in the form of an aerosol when a predetermined fire condition, which results from a fire in the at least one battery element, is present.

FIRE-FIGHTING FOAM STOCK TANK

A fire-fighting foam stock tank includes a stock solution tank, a bladder set inside the stock solution tank, and a liquid collecting pipe installed inside the bladder. The stock solution tank has a first end tank wall provided with a first maintenance hole and a first hole cover. There is a hole plug on the inner surface of the first hole cover, so that the hole plug extends into the first maintenance hole until it is close to the inner wall surface of the stock solution tank, so that the inner wall surface is kept flat. The liquid collecting pipe is a T-shaped pipe composed of a first pipe section and a second pipe section. The bladder fits the liquid collecting pipe shape.

System for dispensing flame retardant foam on exterior of a structure

A system for dispensing flame retardant foam on the exterior of a structure. The structure has an opening that enables distribution of flame retardant foam onto the roof. The system includes a foam distribution system having a foam expansion chamber and a roof plenum for delivery through the roof opening. Foam solution and compressed air are combined in a conduit and supplied to the foam expansion chamber. The structure may have at least one wall. In that case, the system may have a wall plenum for delivery of flame retardant foam from the foam expansion chamber through a first wall-associated opening. Each such wall will have an opening associated with the wall that enables distribution of flame retardant foam onto that wall.
