Connector system

A system including a connector system configured to couple a first tubular to a second tubular, including a sleeve configured to couple to an exterior surface of the first tubular, wherein the sleeve comprises a coupling feature, a lock ring configured to couple to the exterior surface of the second tubular and radially engage the coupling feature on the sleeve, and a support ring configured to energize the lock ring into engagement with the sleeve.

Continuous pumping operations using decoupled pump maintenance

The disclosure presents systems and methods for hot swapping pumps at a wellsite while minimizing the impact to the pumping operations. As one pump is swapped out, such as for maintenance, the remaining pumps in the set of pumps at the wellsite can continue pumping operations. In some aspects, the swapping of pumps can be performed by a user using a protection barrier to isolate the pump location where the pumps will be swapped. In some aspects, one or more of the steps to swap pumps can be performed through automation thereby minimizing danger to a user. In some aspects, the pump being located at the pump system can be primed and pressure tested prior to be located to improve the time to enable the pump for pumping operations.

Reusable clamp with latch release arm for connecting conduit sections and associated methods
10125906 · 2018-11-13 · ·

A reusable clamp for retaining conduit sections or sanitary fittings having circular flanges together includes two gland members movable between open and closed positions. The gland members include two handles projecting outwardly from the gland members and two sets of locking detents formed on a latch finger connected to one gland member and the outer periphery of the other gland member. The locking detents engage to prevent movement of the gland members away from the closed position until a latch release arm coupled to the latch finger is depressed towards one of the handles, which causes the locking detents to disengage from one another and enables re-opening of the clamp when desired. The latch release arm and one or more of the handles also include tie-receiving loops to prevent accidental opening of the clamp unless desired by the end user.

CONNECTING DEVICE FOR CONNECTING A FIRST PIPE END TO A SECOND PIPE END
20240309976 · 2024-09-19 ·

A connecting device for connecting a first pipe end to a second pipe end includes a support ring made to abut the first rear face and a locking device releasably connected to the support ring. The support ring or the locking device in the assembled state projects axially above the first end face and forms a receiving opening into which the second widened portion can be introduced. A locking member is movably mounted in the support ring and/or in the locking device in the radial direction. The locking member is adjustable by the locking device between an open position, in which the second end face can be made to abut the first end face, and a closed position, in which the locking member applies an axially acting clamping force to the second rear face, so that the second end face is pressed against the first end face.

Connecting Device for Connecting a First Line End to a Second Line End
20240301977 · 2024-09-12 · ·

The present invention relates to a connecting device (10) for connecting a first line end (12) to a second line end (14), wherein the first line end (12) has a flange-like radial first widening (16) with a first end face (18) and a first rear face (20), and the second line end (14) has a plurality of flange-like radial second widenings (22) each with a second end face (24) and a second rear face (26), wherein the second widenings (22) are separated from one another by interruption portions (84), and the connecting device (10) comprises a connecting ring (74) with a first closure face (76) and a plurality of second closure faces (70) which are separated from one another by passage portions (80), wherein the first closure face (76) can be brought into contact with the first rear face (20), and the second closure faces (78) can be brought into contact with the second rear faces (26) by virtue of the fact that the second widenings (22) are guided with an axial movement through the passage portions (80) and then a relative rotational movement is carried out between the connecting ring (74) and the first line end (12) and/or a relative rotational movement is carried out between the connecting ring (74) and the second line end (14). Moreover, the invention relates to a method and a connecting arrangement (85) for connecting a first line end (12) to a second line end (14) using such a connecting device (10).

Universal tube fitting adaptable for different sized tubes

A fitting for connecting to a tube includes a connector body, a cartridge, a retaining ring and a fastener. The connector body has a generally cylindrical cavity having an inside body diameter that is larger than an outer diameter of a selected tube that is to be connected to by the fitting. The cartridge is disposed in the cylindrical cavity of the connector body and has a passageway therethrough. The cartridge is selected from a plurality of different sized cartridge and the selected cartridge has an inside diameter that generally corresponds to the outer diameter of the selected tube. When the fastener is attached at the connector body, the fastener urges the retaining ring into engagement with the selected tube and at least one of the end of the connector body and the selected cartridge to secure the selected tube within the selected cartridge and the connector body.

Coupling and seal

A mechanical coupling for joining pipe elements end to end has a channel that receives a ring seal. The channel is defined by oppositely disposed sidewalls and the ring seal has lobes on opposite sides. The lobes have surfaces facing the side surfaces of the channel. When the ring seal is seated within the channel, each lobe surface contacts a respective side surface such that the lobes deform inwardly toward the center of the channel.

Tube fitting

A tube fitting including a first fitting member having a cylindrical body including a flange, a second fitting member having a cylindrical body including a plurality of tines extending from the cylindrical body, the plurality of tines being configured to engage the flange where the plurality of tines and the flange are configured to secure the first and second fitting members to each other, and at least one seal disposed between the first fitting member and the second fitting member.

Hot swappable fracturing pump system

A system that permits fracturing pumps such as, for example, at least first and second fracturing pumps, each carried on a truck, to be connected to, and disconnected from, respective connection points on a fracturing manifold while fracturing fluid in the fracturing manifold is at pressure, in certain instances at or near fracturing pressure, and/or while other(s) of the fracturing pumps are being operated to pump fracturing fluid.
