Gimbal clearances optimization system
An apparatus and method for the manufacture and maintenance of flexible joint gimbal systems. The apparatus and method reduce metal corrugated bellows gimbal joint fatigue damage due to loose fitting parts by implementing a spherical washer to reduce clearance in the flexible joint of the gimbal within desired tolerances.
Articulating faucet
A water delivery device includes a first conduit section and a second conduit section rotatably coupled to the first conduit section by a magnetic joint. The magnetic joint includes a plurality of magnets that cooperatively define a plurality of rotational positions between the first conduit section and the second conduit section.
Eccentric universal joint mechanism and eccentric universal joint
An eccentric universal joint mechanism, even when there is a lateral displacement between a first pipe and a second pipe, can absorb the displacement and connect the first pipe and the second pipe. The eccentric universal joint mechanism includes: a first sleeve; a second sleeve; and an eccentric universal joint connecting the first sleeve and the second sleeve. The eccentric universal joint includes a first eccentric pipe, and a second eccentric pipe rotatably joined to the first eccentric pipe. A displacement between the center line of the first eccentric pipe and the center line of the second eccentric pipe is determined by the rotational position of the second eccentric pipe.
Gas pipe joint
A gas pipe joint contains: a connection pipe, a first threaded pipe, and a second threaded pipe. The connection pipe includes a first part and a second part, the first part has a first threaded orifice, and the second part has a second threaded orifice. The first threaded pipe includes a first coupling section, a first nut section, and a second coupling section. The second threaded pipe includes a second nut section and a third coupling section, the second nut section has a second screwing portion, and the third coupling section has at least one second recessed portion and a second groove. The third coupling section has a second shoulder. The second shoulder has a second lower gasket. The first groove has two first loops, and the second groove has two second loops.
Gimbals and methods of manufacturing gimbals
Disclosed herein is a gimbal body comprising: an end part (51) for use in welding the gimbal body to a pipe; and a main body (53) attached to the end part (51); wherein: the end part (51) is made of a first material; and the main body (53) is made of a second material that is different from the first material. Embodiments provide a new method of manufacturing a gimbal that allows the use of the most appropriate materials for high temperature and high pressure performance whilst overcoming manufacturing and installation problems experienced by known gimbals constructed with such materials.

Gimbaled flexure for spherical flex joints
A flexible joint assembly for a joint between a first duct and a second duct for providing a flow of fluid, such as bleed air in an aviation implementation. The flexible joint includes a bellows supported by a mounting assembly having a first support and a second support, each surrounding a portion of the bellows. A set of flexures provided on a joint ring of the joint assemblies can operably couple the first support and the second support.

GIMBALS AND THEIR MANUFACTURE
A gimbal for connecting pipes having a core portion and at least one joint shield portion that surrounds the core portion. The core portion, which has a core portion internal surface and a core portion external surface, has at least two pipe engaging portions that are separated by at least one flexible portion, which has a flexible portion internal surface and a flexible portion external surface, and a plurality of joint cover portions. Each joint cover portion extends from the core portion external surface of the core portion to provide a protective cover for the flexible portion external surface of at least one flexible portion of the core portion and is pivotably connected to a least one joint shield portion. The shield portion is configured to provide a protective shield for at least one flexible portion of the core portion.
Internal spoke gimbal joint
A gimbal apparatus is disclosed, including a tubular envelope with a variable length between first and second rim structures. A rigid ring structure inside the tubular envelope is connected to diametrically opposite first and second portions of the first rim structure, and is connected to diametrically opposite first and second portions of the second rim structure. A spoke bisects the ring structure.
