Fire engine hose connector
A fire engine hose connector system and a method for using the system are reported. The system allows for rapid connection between the fire hose and the fire engine, and more importantly the system enables even more rapid disconnection. The fire engine and firefighting personnel may make a rapid escape form an overtaking wildfire. The ability to rapidly disconnect and escape from the fire scene allows the fire engine and personnel to access hydrant supplies that would otherwise not be available due to safety procedures that preclude connection when the long disconnect time requirements of prior art connectors place the escape of the fire engine and personnel at risk in a rapidly moving fire. The connector further includes a means to bend the connector for stress relief and ease of handling and multiple safety interlocks.
LIGATURE RESISTANT QUICK DISCONNECT WITH POSITIVE SHUTOFF
A ligature resistant quick disconnect assembly includes a base having a base inlet and a base outlet allowing for the flow of water through the base. A nozzle is connected to the base at the base outlet, and a positive shutoff valve is positioned within a nozzle valve opening defined in the nozzle. An insert is removably connectable to the nozzle. When the insert is not connected to the nozzle, the positive shutoff valve is arranged in a closed configuration that does not allow water to pass through the nozzle. When the insert is inserted into the nozzle, the positive shutoff valve is moved to an open configuration that allows the flow of water through the nozzle and to a hose attached to the insert.
QUICK-COUPLING DEVICE
A quick-coupling device for a milking module of a milking system for milking dairy animals that forms a releasable and re-establishable connection between the milking module and a milk pipe and includes a valve mechanism for opening and closing a feeding port and a discharge port using a number of articulated clamps.
SEPARATOR DEVICE
A separator device 10 for removing particles from suspension in a fluid including a housing 12, having first and second apertures 96 for ingress and egress of fluid into and out of the housing 12; a first separator chamber 38 disposed at one end of the housing; a second separator chamber 40 disposed at the other end of the housing, and a central chamber disposed between the first and second separator chambers 38, 40, the first and second separator chambers 38, 40 being apertured for ingress and egress of fluid from the central chamber and each containing obstruction means to slow the flow of fluid within the chamber.
Coupler for use in a closed transfer system
A coupler for use in a closed transfer system is provided. The coupler includes a body with an axial slot, an outlet, and a probe that extends from a first end portion to a second end portion and at least partially received within the body, the probe configured to be movable relative to the body between a first position and a second position to selectively control the flow of fluid through the outlet. A handle is coupled to the probe and configured to interface with the axial slot, wherein the handle is configured to move axially along the axial slot to move the probe between the first position and the second position.
Magnetic separator and release tool therefor
A magnetic separator for a central heating system comprises a housing, a separation chamber within the housing, and inlet and outlet ports extending from the housing. The inlet and outlet ports include push-fit connectors having collets surrounding the mouth of each of the inlet and outlet for releasing the connectors. The magnetic separator also has a release tool. The release tool has first and second bearing areas for bearing against the collets of the inlet and outlet connectors, and a handle region for enabling force to be applied, via the bearing areas, to both connectors simultaneously.
Flow control structure of water hose joint
A flow control structure of a water hose joint has: a hose connector, a coupler, a control section, and a hose. The coupler is coupled with the hose connector, the control section is sleeved on the coupler, and the coupler is inserted into the hose, so as to complete a flow control structure of the hose connector. By combining the hose connector with a connecting pipe and rotating the control section to adjust the relative position of the control section and the coupler to change the water flow, which has the effect of simple flow adjustment.
Quick-fit hydraulic or hydrodynamic coupling for pressurized fluids
The quick-fit coupling (1) for pressurized fluid comprises a valve body (3) extending along a longitudinal axis (L) and having an axial cavity (4) wherein a shutter stem (5) is axially movable with respect to the valve body in contrast to and by action of at least one elastic element (6) between a position for opening and a position for closing an axial passage of fluid through said cavity (4), the stem (5) being configured so as to be subjected by the fluid present in the cavity (4) to a resultant force having a substantially null component at least in an axial direction.
