Conduit seal assembly

A conduit seal assembly includes an outer conduit having a first end with a first opening and a second end, opposite the first end, with a second opening. A first seal is positioned in the first opening for resisting a first temperature, and a second seal is positioned in the second opening for resisting a second temperature less than the first temperature. The first and second seals define a cavity and provide an air-tight seal of the cavity, and the assembly includes a monitoring assembly configured to sense a characteristic in the cavity.

Remote process equipment bolt flange joint opening and closing system and method of use

A system for remotely opening and closing a process equipment bolt flange joint may include a hydraulic cylinder actuator assembly for attaching to the flanges of a bolt flange joint to open and close the joint by operation of a remote hydraulic pump. More than one actuator assembly may be evenly spaced around the flange joint, to ensure even distribution of force around the joint. The system may have an accumulator for receiving hydraulic fluid expelled from the hydraulic cylinder during extension and to force hydraulic fluid back into the cylinder to close the flange joint upon pressure release at the pump. A drop trigger may be used to release hydraulic pressure at the pump for emergencies. The system may include a video camera for viewing the joint on a display. The components may be stored and transported on a mobile cart. A method of use is also disclosed.

Enhanced seal

An enhanced seal may comprise an annular portion having an annular portion peripheral wall and a cylindrical portion having a cylindrical portion peripheral wall. A passageway may extend through each of the annular portion and cylindrical portion. One or more annular protrusions may extend away from the cylindrical portion.

Emitter coupler and irrigation system

An emitter coupler is provided, such as for use in an irrigation dripline. The emitter coupler includes a body with two portions for coupling to two supply tubes. The emitter coupler also includes a conduit defined by the body that receives fluid from a supply tube. The emitter coupler also has an emitter including: an emitter inlet that receives fluid from the conduit; an emitter outlet downstream of the emitter inlet with the inlet receiving fluid at a certain pressure and the outlet emitting fluid at a reduced pressure; and a pressure reducing flow channel disposed in the emitter between the inlet and the outlet. The emitter coupler further includes a housing that encloses the emitter. The housing is in fluid communication with the conduit and defines an outlet of the emitter coupler. A dripline with at least one emitter coupler is also provided.

Intermediate sealing for ultradeep water applications

A sealing arrangement and a method for testing the integrity of a sealing arrangement of a flexible pipe are disclosed. The method includes locating a first annular sealing element and a second annular sealing element in a joint between two elements of a flexible pipe, with a region of the joint therebetween; and pressurizing the region between the first sealing element and the second sealing element through a port extending towards the region to a predetermined pressure of 0.2 MP or greater.
