RETAINER AND PIPE JOINT USING RETAINER
20220154862 · 2022-05-19 ·

A retainer allows reduction in a length in a direction of insertion of a flexible pipe and capable of being engaged with the flexible pipe without requiring motions of other members. The retainer is a retainer having a shape of a ring and used in a pipe joint, including: a plurality of pawls for getting into a valley of a corrugated pipe of a flexible pipe to be inserted into the pipe joint; a plurality of supports for contacting an inner surface of a pipe joint body housing the retainer in the pipe joint, the supports being continuous with corresponding ones of the pawls as viewed in a direction of a center axis of the ring of the retainer; and a connector connecting the pawls and the supports in a plurality of combinations continuous with each other. The connector is more elastically deformable than the pawls and the supports.

Hose connector assembly

A hose connector assembly for connecting a hose to a port of a pressurized fluid system, the system including a socket and an adapter tube in fluid communication, with an end portion of the socket adapted to be connected to a port and having a receiving opening. The adapter tube has a plug-in end portion to be pushed into the receiving opening which is adapted to cooperate with the plug-in end portion to form a plug-in connection mechanism. The adapter tube has a hose connector end fitting adapted to be received in, hold and retain a hose end portion. Complementary locking surfaces of the receiving opening and plug-in end portion are engaged when the plug-in end portion is connected by the plug-in connection mechanism to the socket to lock the adapter tube with respect to the socket against rotation about the longitudinal axis of the adapter tube within the socket.

POTTED PIPE FITTING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
20220146026 · 2022-05-12 ·

Techniques for implementing a pipeline system including a pipe segment and a potted pipe fitting. The pipe segment includes tubing having an internal pressure sheath layer, a reinforcement strip, and an outer sheath layer. The potted pipe fitting includes an outer fitting body disposed around a portion of the reinforcement strip, an inner fitting body disposed between the portion of the reinforcement strip and the internal pressure sheath layer, in which the inner fitting body directly abuts the internal pressure sheath layer at least up to a point where the reinforcement strip begins to flare away from the internal pressure sheath layer and a potting cavity of the potted pipe fitting is defined at least between an inner surface of the outer fitting body and an outer surface of the inner fitting body, and cured potting material implemented around the portion of the reinforcement strip in the potting cavity.

Self-retaining plug and compatible socket

A plug having a longitudinal axis includes a plug body having a generally flat sealing surface on an axial end thereof, and a protuberance extending from the axial end generally concentric with the longitudinal axis. The protuberance has a first section contiguous with the plug body, and a second section having a hub portion contiguous with the first section and a plurality of generally evenly spaced arms extending outward from the hub portion. An underside surface of each arm faces the sealing surface of the plug body and has a generally flat portion and a ramped nub thereon projecting toward the sealing surface. The plug may be inserted into a compatible socket having tabs and rotated about the longitudinal axis for sealable engagement with the socket.
