Remotely activated connection device for a spiral shoulder connection
The invention provides a remotely activated connecting device for connecting a wellhead and or Christmas tree positioned on a wellhead to a fracing tree that may comprise a collet system for selectively engaging and disengaging from a threaded, spiral, and or flange shoulder that may utilize hydraulics for same.
Hot swappable fracturing pump system
A system that permits fracturing pumps such as, for example, at least first and second fracturing pumps, each carried on a truck, to be connected to, and disconnected from, respective connection points on a fracturing manifold while fracturing fluid in the fracturing manifold is at pressure, in certain instances at or near fracturing pressure, and/or while other(s) of the fracturing pumps are being operated to pump fracturing fluid.
LOCKING FLUID CONNECTION WITH SEAL
A remotely-operated fluid connection assembly to hold higher internal pressures in larger diameters. The assembly comprises a fluid connection adapter and a fluid connection housing assembly. When the adapter enters the housing assembly: (A) locking elements on the housing assembly constrict about the adapter; and (B) at least a first seal section on the adapter sealingly contacts a first seal bore on the housing assembly. Progressive engagement of a locking ring upon the locking elements urges the locking elements to tighten against the adapter. Internal pressure encourages adapter displacement, which then further tightens the adapter against the locking elements as now restrained by the locking ring. Internal pressure further encourages the first seal section on the adapter to expand radially to tighten the contact with the first seal bore in the housing assembly.
Hydraulic multi-coupling with independent single handle rotational disconnect
A multi-coupling assembly includes a first female coupler and a second female coupler whereby the female couplers are independently operable. Rotation of a rotational lever moves one of the female couplers from the coupling position to the release position without affecting a connection state of the other of the female couplers. Such independent operation of the female couplers is achieved by rotating cams that are configured such that when one of the cams rotates to interact against its respective female coupler, the other of the cams does not act on its respective female coupler. Pressure relief valves are operated such that internal pressure within a female coupler is released prior to the female coupler reaching the release position during a disconnection operation of the male coupler, and prior to the female coupler reaching the coupling position during a connection operation of a male coupler.
High pressure and high frequency connector and actuator system therefore
A connector system for use during hydraulic fracturing operations includes a first connector having a bore and an annular interface defined by a plurality of surfaces disposed at selected angles with respect to each other. A second connector has an annular interface defined by a plurality of surfaces disposed at selected angles to each other. The plurality of surfaces of the annular interface of the first connector are adapted to engage the plurality of surfaces of the annular interface of the second connector to form a seal.
HIGH PRESSURE JUMPER MANIFOLD
A jumper manifold for use in a fracing system including a first outlet interface for coupling to a first outlet line, a second outlet interface for coupling to a second outlet line, and an inlet interface for coupling to an inlet line carrying a slurry under pressure. A jumper, in a first configuration, couples the inlet interface with the first outlet interface for transporting slurry from the inlet line to the first outlet line while isolating the second outlet line. The jumper, in a second configuration, couples the inlet interface with the second outlet interface for transporting slurry from the inlet line to the second outlet line while isolating the first outlet line.
FLUID INJECTION SYSTEMS, APPARATUS, AND METHODS INCLUDING FLEXIBLE HOSES FOR WELLHEAD SITES
Aspects of the disclosure relate to fluid injection systems, apparatus, methods, and associated components thereof that include flexible hoses for wellhead sites. In one implementation, a fluid injection system for wellhead sites includes a platform, a pump manifold mounted to the platform, and a pair of rails mounted to the platform. The fluid injection system includes a trolley disposed between the pair of rails and above the pump manifold. The trolley is movable along the pair of rails. The fluid injection system includes an articulation arm device mounted to the trolley. The articulation arm device includes one or more pivot joints coupled between two or more arms, and a connection device coupled to an end arm of the two or more arms.
In one implementation, a fluid injection system for wellhead sites includes a pump, a pump manifold, and a flexible hose coupled between the pump and the pump manifold. The flexible hose includes a first end coupled to the pump and a second end coupled to the pump manifold. The first end of the flexible hose includes a first end fitting coupled to the pump, and the first end fitting is oriented at an angle relative to a horizontal plane. The second end of the flexible hose includes a second end fitting coupled to the pump manifold, and the second end fitting is oriented vertically and perpendicularly to the horizontal plane.
TORQUE-LIMITING END EFFECTOR
The present technology describes systems and methods for a mechanized gladhand and an end effector. The mechanized gladhand may have a collar capable of rotational motion while the mating surface may be in contact with a second surface without rotating. This may reduce reaction loads while maintaining the integrity of the connection. The end effector may include a drive motor, clasping tool, and/or driving installed tool that may be used to couple a tool with the gladhand or may be used in other applications. The end effector may have a compact design to allow precise control. The movement of the end effector with the gladhand may be controlled based on image processing to align the tool with another component.
BALL JOINT FOR PIPE CONNECTION AND PIPE CONNECTION
Disclosed is a ball joint for connecting two floating pipes, the joint including an inner shell part, an outer shell part and a clamp with segments that are moveable in a common plane between an open position in which at least one of the shell parts is moveable into and out of the clamp, and a clamping position in which movement of both shell parts along the longitudinal centre lines is prevented. The ball joint is provided with a remote controlled actuator for driving movement of the segments between the open and closed position, without requiring nearby personnel to keep the shell parts aligned. Also disclosed is such a clamp and to a method of connecting such a ball joint to two pipes.
