A food-inspection device is also provided in addition to a method of improving hygiene of a food-inspection device.
MAGNETIC JOINT
A magnetic joint includes a first member and a second member. The first member includes a first plurality of magnets spaced annularly apart from each other. The second member includes a second plurality of magnets spaced annularly apart from each other. The first member is rotatably coupled to the second member. The first member is configured to be coupled to a first component and the second member is configured to be coupled to a second component. The first plurality of magnets and the second plurality of magnets are configured to cooperatively define a plurality of rotational positions between the first component and the second component.
PNEUMATIC TUBE OR HOSE FOR RELEASABLE AIRTIGHT CONNECTION TO A PNEUMATIC PORT AND RESPECTIVE PNEUMATIC PORT
The invention refers to a pneumatic tube or hose (28) having a longitudinal axis (70) along a longitudinal extension of the pneumatic tube or hose (28) and having two ends each provided with a socket (30; 66) adapted for releasable airtight connection to a pneumatic port (26; 64) of a vacuum generation unit (2; 48) and/or to a pneumatic port (42; 64) of a vacuum utilization device (32; 44), respectively. It is suggested that at least one of the sockets (30; 66) of the pneumatic tube or hose (28) comprises at least one magnetic element (80) adapted for interaction with at least one respective magnetic element (78) provided in a vacuum generation unit (2; 48) and/or in a vacuum utilization device (32; 44) in order to secure the socket (30; 66) of the pneumatic tube or hose (28) to the pneumatic port (26; 42; 64) of the vacuum generation unit (2; 48) or of the vacuum utilization device (32; 44) by means of magnetic force (82; 94; 100). Further, the invention refers to a pneumatic port (26; 42; 64) of a vacuum generation unit (2; 48) and/or to a pneumatic port (42; 64) of a vacuum utilization device (32; 44), to which the socket (30; 66) can be releasably attached and secured by means of the magnetic force (82; 94; 100).
Magnetically positioned and engaged dryer vent attachment and method
A magnetically positioned dryer vent coupling is adapted for use in combination with a clothes dryer. The dryer vent coupling includes a flexible exhaust duct, a first mounting substrate, and a second mounting substrate. The first mounting substrate is located at one end of the flexible exhaust duct and includes a first magnet. The second mounting substrate is adapted for residing proximate one of the dryer exhaust port and wall port, and includes a second magnet. When moved into close proximity, the first and second magnets magnetically attract to one another to self-align and self-assemble the first and second mounting substrates of the dryer vent coupling, such that the first and second mounting substrates create an audible snapping sound when engaged thereby indicating a close magnetic seal at the dryer vent coupling.
Magnetic hose coupling for helmet forced air hose
A magnetic hose coupling system for a helmet includes first and second coupling conduit segments magnetically coupled to each other. The first segment includes a hinged clamp at a first end to attach to a forced air intake barb on a motorsport helmet and an angled polygonal mating surface at a second end with magnetic attractors in the polygonal mating surface. The second segment includes an internally threaded first end to attach to a forced air hose and an angled polygonal mating surface at a second end with magnetic attractors in the polygonal mating surface. The polygonal mating surfaces of the first and second segments magnetically couple together and resist rotational and sheer movement of the first and second segments with respect to each other.
Valve assembly for an air cushion
An air valve assembly includes a housing defining an internal channel, a plunger member positioned in the internal channel and configured to slide relative to the housing, a biasing member positioned in the internal channel and configured to apply a biasing force onto the plunger member, a sealing member defining a first inflation aperture, the plunger member slidably received by the first inflation aperture, a second deflation aperture defined by the housing and in fluid communication with the internal channel, and a deflation control member slidably connected to the housing, the deflation control member configured to selectively seal the second deflation aperture.
