FASTENING SYSTEM

A system for selectably fastening a female member with a male member adapted to fit inside the female member, the female member having one or more inward-facing recesses and the male member having one or more outward-facing recess, the recesses being of similar cross-sectional dimensions, includes one or more moveable, ferromagnetic locking elements housed within the inward-facing recesses of the female member; and a locking magnet mounted onto the male member, in magnetic proximity to the one or more outward-facing recesses, wherein, in the presence of a magnetic force applied by the locking magnet, mating of the male and female members bringing the outward-facing and inwardly-facing recesses into mutual registration causes the locking elements to move inwardly into the outward-facing recesses so as to extend across both of the inward- and outward-facing recesses, thereby to lock the male and female members together.

A water delivery device includes a plurality of magnetic joints each including a plurality of magnetic members, and a plurality of conduit sections each rotatably coupled to each other by a magnetic joint of the plurality of magnetic joints. The plurality of conduit sections collectively define a spout of the water delivery device. The spout extends from a first portion configured to be coupled to a mounting surface to a second portion configured to discharge a fluid. The water delivery device is configured such that magnetic joints located closer to the first portion include a greater number of magnetic members than magnetic joints located closer to the second portion.

A docking device for mechanically connecting an upper and a lower container module of a multipart container. The docking device includes an upper docking segment which is fastenable on an opening of the upper container module, and a lower docking segment which is fastenable on an opening of the lower container module. Fluid is configured to move from the upper container module into the lower container module. An upper docking region of an upper channel section and/or an upper docking segment and a lower docking region of a lower channel section and/or the lower docking segment can be arranged in such a way that the fluid flows through an externally leak-tight channel in an open valve body position. An actuating assembly is arranged in the upper channel section and/or in the lower channel section.

HEADSET AND COMPONENTS THEREOF FOR FLUID DELIVERY SYSTEM

A headset for a hydration system is disclosed. The headset includes a fluid conduit adapted to connect to a distal end of a hydration system supply tube, and a magnetic quick connect having an upstream and a downstream coupling member with a common mating axis and which together define a portion of the fluid conduit. The upstream member also includes an off-axis arm that may be rotated about the mating axis without decoupling the coupling members. A headgear mount for use in the disclosed headset is also provided.
