A gas supply system primarily designed for use with fire sprinkler systems which includes a control system which uses flow demand to automatically determine the mode of operation and switch between providing air and nitrogen. The gas supply system can operate either in standard nitrogen generation mode where nitrogen is supplied to the reservoir tank and/or sprinkler system or in a bypass mode, where sufficient pressure is only obtained by directly supplying air. The gas supply system can provide for improved safety in operation as well as the ability to operate the sprinkler system primarily when filled with nitrogen supervisory gas.

The invention concerns a fire extinguishing system valve (1) comprising a housing (2), a fluid inlet chamber (11) in the housing (2), a fluid outlet chamber (13) in the housing (2), and a closing body (9) reciprocable between a blocking state and a release state and which in the blocking state prevents a direct flow of fluid between the fluid inlet chamber (11) and the fluid outlet chamber (13) and in the release state connects the fluid inlet chamber (11) directly in fluid-conducting relationship to the fluid outlet chamber (13). According to the invention the fire extinguishing system valve (1) has at least one manometer (15, 17) which is operatively connected to the fluid inlet chamber (11) or the fluid outlet chamber (13) and which is mounted to the housing (2), and a venting device (21) integrated into the housing (2) for the at least one manometer (15, 17).

Sprinkler system antifreeze compositions and methods
An antifreeze composition and a sprinkler system containing the antifreeze composition are described. Examples include aqueous antifreeze compositions containing relatively low amounts of glycerin and/or glycols, and which further include additives that are relatively non-flammable compared to glycerin and glycols. The additives are generally compatible with each other in the antifreeze compositions. Examples of the antifreeze compositions are typically relatively non-flammable, have low electrical conductivity and low corrosivity, and are compatible with CPVC.
Sprinkler system antifreeze compositions and methods
An antifreeze composition and a sprinkler system containing the antifreeze composition are described. Examples include aqueous antifreeze compositions containing relatively low amounts of glycerin and/or glycols, and which further include additives that are relatively non-flammable compared to glycerin and glycols. The additives are generally compatible with each other in the antifreeze compositions. Examples of the antifreeze compositions are typically relatively non-flammable, have low electrical conductivity and low corrosivity, and are compatible with CPVC.
Hydro fire mitigation system
A hydro fire mitigation system is provided that is associated with a structure. The system employs a number of sensors that detect an oncoming fire, which directs a controller to initiate fluid flow through a number of sprinklers. The system is fully autonomous and does not require municipal water or power during use.
