PIPE SECTION JOINING MEMBER, PIPE JOINT AND ELONGATED PIPE
20170254463 · 2017-09-07 ·

A fiber reinforced polymer composite joining member for joining sections of pipe together to form an elongated pipe is disclosed. A pipe joint and elongated pipe includes at least two pipe sections having ends that are joined together with the joining member is also disclosed. The pipe joint and elongated pipe are formed by joining abutting ends of adjacent pipe sections with the joining member without the need for the adjacent pipe sections to have other connection means, such as standard bell and spigot end connections. Also provided is a method for joining pipe sections with the joining member to make an elongated pipe.

MALE CONNECTOR HOLDER FOR AUTOMATIC CHEMICAL SUPPLY APPARATUS

The present disclosure relates to a male connector holder for an automatic chemical supply apparatus, in which as an upper stage that is independently movable in a front-rear direction is provided on a lower stage that is moved in the front-rear direction by a transfer unit, and even when a male connector having a stretched neck region is seated on the holder, the automatic chemical supply apparatus may be smoothly and normally operated.

REVERSIBLE PIPE FITTING

A pipe fitting includes a tubular body comprising an inner surface with a first pipe attachment portion formed of a first polymer material and a second pipe attachment portion axially offset from the first pipe attachment portion and formed of a second polymer material. An outer surface includes a drain attachment portion formed of the first polymer material configured to interface with the drain fixture. The tubular body is reversible such that the tubular body is selectively installable on a pipe member with the first pipe attachment portion located toward a terminal of the pipe member or the second pipe attachment portion located toward the terminal end of the pipe member to sealingly attach the inner surface to the pipe member based on a material forming the pipe member and to sealingly attach a drain fixture to the drain attachment portion.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR BONDING TIE LAYERS ON REINFORCED THERMOSETTING RESIN LAMINATES FOR USE IN WELDING THERMOSET COMPOSITE PIPE JOINTS

A system and method for coupling pipes includes a first pipe having a tapered, spigot end; and a second pipe having a tapered, socket end adapted to internally receive the tapered, spigot end of the first pipe. The first pipe and the second pipe are made from a reinforced thermosetting resin (RTR) material. A thermal joining process is used to bond a thermoplastic material onto the RTR material of the first pipe, the second pipe, or both pipes. Upon application of thermal heating to the first and second pipes, the heat between the first pipe and the second pipe is sufficient to melt the thermoplastic material such that, when the heat is removed, the hardened thermoplastic material seals the first pipe to the second pipe. A system and a method of coupling the first pipe and the second pipe may include the coupler made of RTR material.

INJECTION MOLDED COLD-EXPANSION COMPRESSION COLLAR
20220168932 · 2022-06-02 ·

A compression collar is manufactured for use in reinforcing an interference fit between an end of a pipe and a fitting. A precursor form is injection molded using a cold-expansion material. The precursor form has a tubular body with an initially closed axial end and a bore that is initially blind formed in the other axial end. Material is removed from the initially closed axial end of the tubular body of the precursor form to form an opening in the initially closed axial end that connects to the bore thereby forming the compression collar. The opening has an inner periphery with a profile in axial cross section that is different than any profile in axial cross section of an inner periphery of the bore. The collar formed may lack knitlines and may include tabs formed during the removal step which help to position the collar on a pipe.
