O-ring seal system for metal, thermoplastic and fiber reinforced plastic flanges
An O-ring seal system for pipe flanges having a backing ring, an O-ring seal positioned within the backing ring, and a vacuum ring positioned within the O-ring seal. The backing ring and the vacuum ring form a rigid base against which mating flanges on pipes can be bolted together, thereby preventing bending of the mating flanges and permitting flange bolts to be torqued to their full tensile load limit without damage to the mating flanges. The O-ring seal system is constructed so that the O-ring seal is retained between the mating flanges without the need to position the O-ring seal in a groove in one of the mating flanges. Bending of the flanges is minimized since the flanges are clamped against the backing ring, minimizing stresses due to bending, thereby extending the service life of the flanges.

APPARATUS FOR DUCT CONNECTION
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus for connecting to the end of a duct, the apparatus comprising: an outer ring having a central axis (C) and an inner surface extending between a first axial end and a second axial end of the outer ring; and an inner ring positioned within the outer ring and having a central axis (C) and an outer surface extending between a first and second axial end of the inner ring. A gap is provided between the outer surface of the inner ring at its first end and the inner surface of the outer ring at its first end, the gap extending in the direction of the second ends of the inner and outer rings.

Clamp Assembly
The present embodiments relate to a novel clamping assembly. More specifically, present embodiments relate to a clamping assembly for blind flange installation which provides an air tight seal for piping applications including, but not limited to, low pressure high-density polyethylene (HDPE) piping applications.
End Fitting for a Composite Pipe
An apparatus for terminating a composite pipe has a pipe having a liner layer surrounded by a composite layer and a pipe end. The liner layer has an extension piece which extends axially beyond the composite layer at the pipe end; a connector; an annular transition element located between the pipe end and the connector, the annular transition element having an exterior surface; and compression means.

Methods and apparatus for sterile connections
An apparatus or method for forming a sterile connection. The apparatus includes at least two sterile tubes each disposed within a flange. Each flange has an external face that completely covers the mouth of the tube. Each flange is designed to be displaced when force is applied to the tube to move the tubes toward one another such that the external face of each flange is displaced radially or axially outwards away from the mouth of the tube. When the external faces are displaced, the external face of each flange opens and tubes connect and form a sterile connection therebetween.

Flexible flange apparatus for connecting conduits and methods for connecting same
The present disclosure generally relates to improved water closet flanges and methods for installing such water closet flanges. In one exemplary embodiment, an improved water closet flange apparatus includes an outer flange and a flexible conduit portion (i.e. sleeve) extending downwardly therefrom. The flexible sleeve has a sufficient degree of flexibility to accommodate connection between offset, misaligned, angled, or otherwise incongruous plumbing fixture discharges and waste drain pipe outlets. In one embodiment, the flexible sleeve includes at least one corrugated portion to aid the desired flexibility. An upper portion of the flexible sleeve may include an inwardly extending lip portion to accommodate the desired seal between the plumbing fixture discharge and the flange apparatus. Related methods for installing the disclosed flange apparatus between plumbing fixture discharges and waste drainpipes are also described.
