HIGH PRESSURE PIPE AND FITTING RESTRAINT SYSTEM
20180274708 · 2018-09-27 · ·

A restraint system for use in securing temporary flow lines that include multiple pipe sections, each pair of pipe sections connected together with a fitting or coupling such as a hammer joint coupling. The system includes multiple pluralities of endless loop slings connected end to end with a cow hitch or girth hitch knot. Disconnectable fittings (e.g., shackles) are placed every three or more slings so that easy disassembly is afforded in case of leakage or other failure.

FLOWLINE RESTRAINT METHOD
20180224025 · 2018-08-09 ·

A method for securing flowline segments in a flowline is disclosed. A high tensile strength restraining line is extended along the length of the flowline. At each joint between segments, the restraining line is knotted around the flowline on either one or both sides of the flowline joint. The knots secure each flowline segment such that in the case of a fail of a flowline joint, the disconnected flowline segments are maintained in place.

METHOD FOR OPERATING A FILLING ADAPTER, AND FILLING ADAPTER FOR FILLING REFRIGERANT R744 INTO VEHICLE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS
20180162194 · 2018-06-14 · ·

The disclosure relates to a method for operating a filling adapter for filling refrigerant R744 into vehicle air conditioning systems as well as to a corresponding adapter. The adapter comprises mechanical clamping elements actuated by a pneumatically or mechanically controlled clamping piston. The clamping elements are clamped b the clamping system onto specifically designed sections of the vehicle air conditioning system for the filling process and are kept in the clamping position during the filling process. The clamping piston comprises at least two separate piston surfaces to be subjected to the pressure of two different pressurization media, one piston surface being effectively connected to the control pressure of the filling adapter and the other piston surface being effectively connected to the filling pressure of the refrigerant.

DEPRESSURIZER
20180163928 · 2018-06-14 ·

To provide a depressurizer with a function of depressurizing a filling hose separated from a filling device when a safety device (safety joint) operates (separates). A depressurizers (10, 11) according to the present invention are mounted to a filling hose (21) for filling hydrogen from a hydrogen filling apparatus (100) to a vehicle. In the present invention, it is preferable that on a main body portion (1) of the depressurizers (10, 11) is formed a depressurizing communication hole (1B) communicating with a hydrogen gas passage (1A); a plug (2) that can be inserted into the depressurizing communication hole (1B) is mounted; and on the depressurizing communication hole (1B) and the plug (2) are formed tapered portions (a pin tapered portion 2B of the plug 2 and a tapered portion 1BB of the depressurizing communication hole 1B) with complementary shapes.

Disclosed are a method, a device and/or a system of a hose restraint device installable on a hose carrying a pressurized fluid and a fitting thereof during operation of the hose. In accordance therewith, the hose restraint device includes a cable and link components that receive portions of the cable bent around the hose and the fitting. The link components each includes a slot through which the cable passes and a notched slot in which a bent portion of the cable is received. Based on loop-based connections of the hose restraint device to the hose and the fitting, the anchoring of the bent portions of the cable to the link components is supplemented by a restoring force of a spring surrounding the cable and expanding between the link components of the hose restraint device to then be solely delimited thereby.

Integrated Safety Clamp
20170191588 · 2017-07-06 ·

An Integrated Safety Clamp is disclosed for use with hoses in high pressure applications such as oil and gas, and in particular a type of rotary and vibrator hose, called Choke and Kill hoses. The inventive clamp includes first and second main bodies that are connected to each other through a set of flanges. A set of gussets strengthen attachments between the first and second pairs (or sets) of flanges. Each flange includes at least two bolt openings. The safety clamp includes an opening to secure a chain or wire rope sling thereto. The safety clamp with at least four bolts provides a more robust and secure connection for hoses carrying high pressure liquids than current safety clamps. Due to its design, the safety clamp holds a hose firmly without damaging its inner workings or armor.
