ADJUSTABLE DEFLECTOR TO FLOOR SPRINKLER ADAPTER FOR SLOPED CEILING
20230001248 · 2023-01-05 · ·

A fire suppression system includes a pipe system in communication with a fluid supply, a connector, at least one adapter pipe, and a sprinkler. The pipe system includes a first pipe and a second pipe that define a fluid supply axis oriented at an angle relative to a floor below the first pipe and the second pipe. The connector includes a connector inlet engaged with the first pipe, a connector outlet engaged with the second pipe, and an adapter outlet in communication with the connector inlet and the connector outlet. The at least one adapter pipe is engaged with the adapter outlet of the connector. The sprinkler is coupled with the at least one adapter pipe such that a spray pattern of fluid outputted by the sprinkler is oriented to correspond with a target orientation of the spray pattern.

Fire protection sprinkler guard and assembly

A sprinkler assembly guard includes a base, a plurality of protective members, and at least one clip member. The base has a plurality of base members centered about a central axis. Each of the protective members having a first portion radially spaced from the central axis and a second portion affixed to one of the base members and extending radially toward the central axis, the first portions of the plurality of protective members being angularly spaced about the central axis to define a cage volume for housing a sprinkler assembly. The at least one clip member is engaged with the protective members to draw the base members radially inward. The second portion of at least one of the protective members includes a securement member extending from the second portion and axially spaced from the base to define a space therebetween for securely housing a portion of a sprinkler frame.

IN-RACK FIRE PROTECTION SPRINKLER SYSTEM INCLUDING AT LEAST ONE UNITARY HORIZONTAL BARRIER THAT COVERS RACKS OF ADJOINING RACKS AND AT LEAST ONE RACK LEVEL FIRE PROTECTION SPRINKLER DISPOSED BELOW THE AT LEAST ONE HORIZONTAL BARRIER
20230226391 · 2023-07-20 ·

A fire protection sprinkler system includes a horizontal barrier that covers two adjacent racks, and the vertical flue space between the racks. The horizontal barrier is provided at a predetermined height, and has a width that is at least equal to a width of the rack, and a depth that is at least equal to a sum of a depth of the rack, a depth of the other rack, and a depth of the vertical flue space. In addition, the horizontal barrier is a sheet having one or more apertures. The system also includes a rack level fire protection sprinkler connected to a fluid supply conduit, and being disposed in the vertical flue space below the horizontal barrier. The rack level sprinkler has a K-factor of 11.2 gpm/(psi).sup.1/2 or greater, and is vertically spaced from commodities stored on the rack and the other rack covered by the horizontal barrier.

Sprinkler head adapter
11701533 · 2023-07-18 · ·

A two member plastic pipe fitting adapter for installing a threaded sprinkler head. The members are coupled together to form a chamber for housing an annular gasket. The gasket chamber includes an expansion void and bearing surfaces for the gasket. The adapter includes a receptacle with an internal thread for engagement with a sprinkler head to load the gasket and form a fluid tight seal. The engagement between the sprinkler and the adapter is formed by dissimilar threads to minimize the outward radial forces on the adapter.

Direct coupling compatible sprinkler

A fire suppression sprinkler adapted to receive arcuate surfaces of a grooved coupling is retainable to the coupling in a pre-assembled state. The coupling joins the sprinkler in facing axial end to end relation directly to grooved pipe. The sprinkler has a monolithic body which defines a bore having an inlet and an outlet. A groove, positioned between the inlet and the outlet extends around the body. A projection, positioned between the groove and the outlet also extends around the body.
