Method for linking segments for rehabilitation pipe and linking tool
A linking pin made of elastic plastic having linking pin halves is used to link segments in the longitudinal direction to assemble a rehabilitation pipe. The linking pin includes a tubular portion having on its outer periphery surface first and second protrusions separated by a distance of twice the thickness of the side plate of the segment and a rear protruding portion that enlarges in diameter due to elasticity. The linking pin is inserted into one segment and the other segment so that the side plates of both the segments come between the first and second protrusions. The linking pin is then enlarged in diameter due to elasticity to fit the side plates between the first and second protrusions and link both the segments in the longitudinal direction. The linking pin that is enlarged in diameter can be reduced in diameter to unlink both the segments.
Water main break repair tool
A repair tool for use in repairing a break in a water main pipe comprises a saddle member which includes a downward facing pipe-engaging surface that is configured to conform to an outer diameter surface of the pipe, a sealing member which is attached to the pipe-engaging surface and is configured to seal between the saddle member and the pipe, a brace member which is connected to the saddle member and includes first and second end portions, first and second arm members, each of which is pivotally connected to a corresponding end portion and each of which comprises an upper end portion that extends upwardly from the brace member and a lower end portion that extends downwardly from the brace member and inwardly toward the other arm member, and a clamping arrangement connected between the upper end portions for moving the upper end portions toward and away from each other to thereby move the lower end portions away and toward each other, respectively. In use of the repair tool the saddle member is positioned over the break and the clamping arrangement is operated to move the lower end portions towards each other and into engagement with a portion of the pipe located opposite the saddle member in order to secure the saddle member to the pipe and thereby seal the break.
Irrigation pipe liner
A pipe liner for lining a fluid-carrying pipe, the pipe liner comprising an elongated flexible conduit and a flexible flange. The flexible conduit includes an outer wall forming an open-ended central channel for allowing fluids to be pumped therethrough. The flexible flange extends radially from one end of the elongated conduit and includes a number of fastener holes. The flexible conduit and the flexible flange are configured to be collapsed and pulled through the pipe such that the flexible flange can be connected to a rigid flange of the pipe via the fastener holes. The pipe liner is less prone to leak and is easier to transport and install.
BROKEN PIPE EXTRACTOR
A broken pipe extractor for removing a broken pipe from a pipe joint includes a hollow pipe body, a first blocking block, a second blocking block, and a hook needle assembly. The first blocking block is located in the pipe body for fixing one end of the pipe joint. The first blocking block defines a through hole. A diameter of the through hole is greater than or equal to an inner diameter of the pipe joint. The second blocking block is movably fixed to one end of the pipe body for fixing another end of the pipe joint. The hook needle assembly is configured to be inserted through the through hole of the first blocking block and extend to the broken pipe to remove the broken pipe.
Patch plug assemblies and methods of sealing tubulars
Methods of sealing tubulars are disclosed herein, which methods may include: providing a patch plug assembly that includes: a shaft; a wedge coupled to the shaft; a slip coupled to the shaft; a plug slidably coupled to the wedge; and a ferrule disposed between the wedge and the plug; pushing the slip against the tubular; pushing the plug against the ferrule after the slip is pushed against the tubular; pushing the ferrule against the wedge after the plug is pushed against the ferrule; and pushing a plug portion of the plug against an inner surface of the tubular.
Plugging pinhole leaks in flowlines
An assembly to plug a leak in a flowline includes a plug configured to plug the leak in the flowline, which includes a circumferential surface and a longitudinal axis. A plug insertion subassembly supports the plug. The plug insertion subassembly can move the plug between the circumferential surface and the longitudinal axis of the flowline. An axial positioning subassembly supports the plug insertion subassembly. The axial positioning subassembly can move the plug insertion subassembly along the longitudinal axis of the flowline. A chain-operated rotational positioning subassembly supports the axial positioning subassembly. The rotational positioning subassembly can be attached to the flowline with the leak. The rotational positioning subassembly is movable and can move the axial positioning subassembly on the circumferential surface of the flowline.
SEALING DEVICE FOR PLUGGING A LEAK IN THE WALL OF A PIPE OR OF A TANK COMPRISING A PART FOR DRILLING AND A PART FOR TAPPING AND SEALING METHOD
The invention relates to a sealing device with a longitudinal axis for plugging a leak in the wall of a pipe or tank, further comprising a drive means at one end, a plug and a tap. According to the main features, at its other end the device comprises a drilling head suitable for drilling a cylindrical hole in the thickness of the wall at the location of the leak, the plug comprises a thread and a thread runout chamfer on which the thread ends, the end of the thread extending to a clearance groove and a smooth upper chamfer suitable for deforming the thread at the end of internal thread, the hole being intended to be sealed by the plug.
The invention also relates to a method for sealing a leak in the wall of a pipe or tank.
Sealing element
A sealing element (10) for use in a fluid-carrying pipeline (16) comprising a substantially central core (14) surrounded by a coating (12). The outer coating (12) is adapted to perform a partial extrusion through an opening (15) in a pipeline wall (16) to seal the opening (15). The density of the sealing element (10) is substantially the same as the density of the fluid (11) in the pipeline (16). The coating (12) comprises a two-part epoxy putty, and the core (14) is formed from a deformable material. A method of making the sealing element is also disclosed.
Pipe Fitting Replacement Device And Method Of Use
A pipe fitting replacement device for rapid replacement of a damaged pipe fitting includes a shell, which has a plurality of orifices positioned therein. Each of a plurality of fasteners is engaged to the shell and extends from a respective orifice. The shell is sized and shaped so that the shell is complementary to an existing pipe fitting positioned in a piping network. Each fastener can have inserted therein a respective terminal pipe segment, which results from removal of the existing pipe fitting from the piping network. The fastener sealably engages the respective terminal pipe segment.
System and method of releasably connecting pipe sections
A pipe fitting system, including a first pipe section with at least one male end, a second pipe section with at least one female end, and a connecting means for releasably connecting the pipe sections together such that the male end is at least partially received within the female end.
