Protection shield positioning assembly and positioning device therefore and method of use
A method and assembly for protecting a device connected to a wiring harness is disclosed. The assembly includes a protective tubular shield and a positioning device, with the protective tubular shield having a bore for receiving the device at least partially therein. An elongated wiring harness extends from the device being protected and through the bore of the protective tubular shield. The positioning device is formed having a band and at least one flexible, resilient finger extending radially inwardly from the band. At least one of the fingers forcibly engages the wiring harness to releasably maintain the positioning device and the protective tubular shield in a protection position along the wiring harness at least partially surrounding the device being protected.

A method and assembly for protecting a device connected to a wiring harness is disclosed. Waste-gas line for a battery in an aircraft
A waste-gas line has a first pipe section connectable to a battery and having an inlet end and a first flange, a separate second pipe section having a second outlet end and a second flange, and an inner sleeve and an outer sleeve, both of a non-conductive material. The inner sleeve is positioned on an outer side of the first flange and of the second flange. The outer sleeve surrounds the first flange, the second flange and the inner sleeve. The first and the second flanges are fastened to one another in such a way that at least the second pipe section is electrically insulated by the inner and the outer sleeves and, by the combination of inner and outer sleeves, is heat-resistant up to a temperature of at least 1100 C. and pressure-resistant up to a pressure of at least 8 bar, for a duration of at least 120 seconds.
Waste-gas line for a battery in an aircraft
A waste-gas line has a first pipe section connectable to a battery and having an inlet end and a first flange, a separate second pipe section having a second outlet end and a second flange, and an inner sleeve and an outer sleeve, both of a non-conductive material. The inner sleeve is positioned on an outer side of the first flange and of the second flange. The outer sleeve surrounds the first flange, the second flange and the inner sleeve. The first and the second flanges are fastened to one another in such a way that at least the second pipe section is electrically insulated by the inner and the outer sleeves and, by the combination of inner and outer sleeves, is heat-resistant up to a temperature of at least 1100 C. and pressure-resistant up to a pressure of at least 8 bar, for a duration of at least 120 seconds.
HYDRAULIC JOINT
Various systems and assemblies that can be utilized with hydraulic and other fluid flow lines are disclosed. According to one embodiment, the present application discloses an assembly that can include a first section, a second section and a third section. The first section can define a first passageway therein to receive and allow for passage of a fluid. The second section can define a second passageway that communicates with the first passageway. The second section and the first section together can form a first ball joint having an internal portion and an external portion. The first ball joint can comprise a moveable coupling between second section and the first section. The third section can define a third passageway that communicates with the second passageway. The third section can telescopically receive the second section therein and can be configured to form a linearly moveable joint between the third section and the second section.
HYDRAULIC JOINT
Various systems and assemblies that can be utilized with hydraulic and other fluid flow lines are disclosed. According to one embodiment, the present application discloses an assembly that can include a first section, a second section and a third section. The first section can define a first passageway therein to receive and allow for passage of a fluid. The second section can define a second passageway that communicates with the first passageway. The second section and the first section together can form a first ball joint having an internal portion and an external portion. The first ball joint can comprise a moveable coupling between second section and the first section. The third section can define a third passageway that communicates with the second passageway. The third section can telescopically receive the second section therein and can be configured to form a linearly moveable joint between the third section and the second section.
Pipe Arrangement Consisting of a Pipe or a Pipe Joint
The invention concerns a pipe arrangement comprising a protective device for protecting against environmental influences, the pipe arrangement comprising: a) a pipe joint which includes at least two pipe ends (1, 2) which are fixed together by means of a mechanical joint (3) and in which the pipe ends (1, 2) and also the mechanical joint are closed with a deformable hollow body (4), or b) a pipe (1) with a pipe opening (14), for example a leak, through which a medium which is disposed within the pipe can escape, wherein the pipe (1) is enclosed by a deformable hollow body where the pipe opening (14) is and wherein the pipe (1) is covered by the hollow body (4) in a predetermined portion on both sides of the opening (14), or c) a pipe having a pipe opening on which a sprinkler of a sprinkler installation is mounted, wherein the pipe (1) and also the sprinkler outlet is enclosed by a deformable hollow body (4) where the sprinkler is fixed to the pipe so that the hollow body (4) surrounds both the pipe end (1) and also the sprinkler outlet and a part of the sprinkler, or d) a pipe of a pipe system, wherein the pipe (1) is formed from two pipe portions which are connected together in positively locking relationship, for example by a welding process, a soldering process, a gluing process or the like, and wherein in the region of the positively locking connection the pipe is enclosed or covered by a deformable hollow body, or e) a pipe of a pipe system, wherein the pipe is enclosed by a deformable hollow body and where the hollow body (4) encloses the pipe (1) the pipe is carried by a suspension (13) which preferably has a material different from the material of the pipe.
