Aisle containment roof system having a fixed perforated panel and a movable perforated panel
An aisle containment roof system includes a frame configured to be supported by two rows of racks or by the one row of racks and a wall or by a dedicated frame structure independent of the two rows of racks. The aisle containment roof system further includes a fixed perforated panel fixedly secured to the frame. The fixed perforated panel includes a pattern of openings formed therein. The aisle containment roof system further includes a movable perforated panel movably secured to the frame. The movable perforated panel has a pattern of openings corresponding to the pattern of openings of the fixed perforated panel. The aisle containment roof system further includes a mechanism configured to move the movable perforated panel relative to the fixed perforated panel to align the openings of the movable perforated panel to the openings of the fixed perforated panel.
Fire sprinkler with actuator
A sprinkler includes a frame, a deflector member, a sealing assembly, and a releasing mechanism for a controlled actuation. The releasing mechanism includes a hook member, a strut member, a load member, a link member, and an actuator. The link member surrounds or frames the strut and hook members and holds the members in a static relationship of an unactuated configuration. A preferred link member includes a single central slot through which each of the hook member and the strut member extend. The actuator is arranged with respect to the link member to separate the hook and strut members and break the link member upon operation of the actuator.

FIRE-FIGHTING SYSTEM
A fire-fighting system includes a fluid monitor that includes a fluid outlet and is selectively moveable between a stowed configuration and a deployed configuration. The system further includes a controller configured to receive a request to direct a fluid flow from the fluid monitor towards a desired target area, determine whether the fluid monitor is in a proper position to direct the fluid flow toward the target area, and control the fluid flow from the fluid monitor through the fluid outlet based on the determination.

Self contained fire extinguisher system including a linear temperature sensor
A self contained fire extinguisher system that does not need external power in order to sense or initiate a release of a fire suppression medium, includes components configured to utilize a linear sensor network that can be connected to at least one and/or different sources of fire suppression mediums. A linear temperature sensing cord can be routed over a large area not practical with individual sensors. The cord can also actuate several and different sources of fire suppression mediums to maximize the suppression of a fire.

Device for spraying a liquid
A spray device (100) for spraying a liquid (L), the device comprises a tank (10) containing the liquid (L) for spraying, at least one liquid ejector member (20) in communication with said tank (10), and a pyrotechnic gas generator (30) for pressurizing the liquid inside said tank and propelling it under pressure out from said tank. According to the invention, in at least one mode of operation, the ejector member (20) is in communication with the gas generator (30) in such a manner as to enable it to be fed with the gas generated by said generator (30).
Dry sprinkler with a diverter seal assembly
A dry sprinkler is provided that includes a structure, a fluid deflecting structure, a locator, a metallic annulus and a shield. The structure defines a passageway extending along a longitudinal axis between an inlet and an outlet. The structure has a rated K-factor defining an expected flow of fluid in gallons per minute from the outlet divided by the square root of the pressure of the flow of fluid fed into the inlet of the passageway in pounds per square inch gauge. The fluid deflecting structure is proximate the outlet. The locator is movable along the longitudinal axis between a first position and a second position. The locator supports the metallic annulus. The metallic annulus includes first and second metallic surfaces spaced apart along the longitudinal axis between an inner and outer circumference with respect to the longitudinal axis. The shield has a first face exposed to the inlet and a second face confronting the first metallic surface to define a gap there between. Various methods are also described.
