Hose coupling guard
A hose coupling guard including a fixture configured to connect to a hose coupling having a release mechanism, and a cover movably connected to the fixture to be movable between a first position and a second position. The cover includes a shield configured to enclose the release mechanism when the cover is in the first position, and to expose the release mechanism when the cover is in the second position. A display surface may be located on the shield and configured to be oriented to face a location from which an operator can operate the release mechanism.
COUPLING NOZZLE FOR CRYOGENIC FLUID
Methods and apparatus are disclosed for a coupling nozzle for cryogenic fluid. An example nozzle includes a flow body defining a conduit. The flow body is configured to permit cryogenic fluid to flow through the conduit. The nozzle includes a mounting ring through which the flow body slidably extends and a bushing fixedly positioned adjacent the mounting ring. The bushing slidably receives the flow body in a keyed manner to prevent rotation of the flow body. The nozzle includes a flow control assembly at least partially disposed in the conduit of the flow body. The flow control assembly is configured to permit the cryogenic fluid to flow through the flow body in an open position and prevent the cryogenic fluid from flowing through the flow body in a closed position.
Fluid line quick connector with spacer having angled surface(s)
A connector seal pack spacer and assembly are employed for use in a fluid line quick connector in an automotive application, for instance. The spacer is located beside an o-ring in installation in the fluid line quick connector. The spacer is designed and constructed with an angled surface that, upon insertion of a spigot in the fluid line quick connector, works to maintain an intended position of the o-ring in the fluid line quick connector. Unwanted mispositioning and dislodging of the o-ring is hence minimized and, in some cases, altogether precluded.
Quick-connection device having double locking mechanism
A quick connection device with a double-checked locking mechanism includes a connection housing and a locking mechanism, the locking mechanism including a first locking mechanism inserted into the connection housing and having a pedestal from which a pair of retaining arms extends, the pair of retaining arms being connected by a connection strip to form a retaining ring for fitting with an opposite plug-in tube, and having an elastic reset component; and a second locking mechanism inserted into the connection housing having a base from which locking arms and holding arms extend, the first locking mechanism being inserted between the locking arms and the holding arms, wherein the locking arms support a portion of the first locking mechanism and the second locking mechanism prevents movement of the first locking mechanism from the locked position to an unlocked position when the second locking mechanism is in a locked position.
Coupling with pressure relief
A coupling for a break-away valve assembly includes a coupling and an adapter, the coupling including: a valve arranged in an annular body, the annular body having a valve seat including a first portion and a second portion, adjacent to the first portion, of greater internal diameter relative to the first portion, the valve being biased in a first direction to seal against the valve seat on disconnection of the coupling from the adapter, wherein the valve is biased in a second direction, and the valve is adapted to extend past the first portion into the second portion of the valve seat to release a volume of fluid if the pressure acting on the valve exceeds a predetermined surge pressure threshold.
PLUG-TYPE COUPLING WITH PRE-ASSEMBLY LOCKING
A plug-type coupling for connecting first and second fluid lines or a sub-assembly, which are designed with a mating plug-type coupling. The plug-type coupling including a housing including a sleeve section with a receiving channel (8) for axially receiving an adapter sleeve. The adapter sleeve being removably held in a positive-locking manner. The adapter sleeve includes a through-opening for a plug shaft of the mating plug-type coupling and a retaining means for removable attachment of the mating plug-type coupling. In an assembled state, the retaining means axially blocks the mating plug-type coupling with respect to the assembly axis. A locking element is arranged on an outer circumference of the sleeve section and is axially movable from a release position, which releases the retaining means, into a locking position, which locks the retaining means. In the release position, the locking element is fixed against axial movement into the locking position.
ASEPTIC FLUID COUPLINGS
Some fluid coupling devices described herein are configured for use in fluid systems for purposes of providing a single-use, aseptic disconnection functionality that substantially prevents fluid spillage when being disconnected. In some embodiments, the coupling portions cannot be reconnected to each other after being disconnected from each other.
PIPE ADAPTER
The invention relates to a pipe adapter (10) for connecting two pipe ends, comprising a first connecting member (12) to a first pipe end of a first pipe and a second connecting member (14) to a second pipe end of a second pipe.
It is provided that the connecting members (12, 14) each comprises a connecting portion (16, 18) for connecting to the respective pipe end and a coupling portion (20, 22) for connecting the connecting members (12, 14) to each other.
PROTECTION STRUCTURE OF SAMPLING TUBE OF TANK TRUCK
A protection structure of a sampling tube of a tank truck is provided. A positioning and protecting base is provided around an outer circumference of the sampling tube. The sampling tube includes a sampling output port for connection with a sampling output hose. The positioning and protecting base includes a through hole. The sampling output port extends through the through hole to partly project outside of the positioning and protecting base. With such an arrangement, the stiffness and strength of the entire sampling output port are enhanced for resisting impact and hit, and readiness of connection between the sampling output port and a sampling output hose is not negatively affected to thereby improve usage performance of the sampling tube.
Quick coupling device
A quick coupling device for fluid lines comprises a coupling socket for receiving a coupling plug and a locking mechanism. It includes a locking sleeve axially displaceable on the coupling socket and at least one radially movable locking ball arranged in a bore of the coupling socket. The at least one locking ball is radially movable and lockable by the locking sleeve. The device includes a temperature-controlled locking element which is arranged on the coupling socket or on the locking sleeve and engages an undercut arranged in the locking sleeve or the coupling socket when a temperature threshold is exceeded.
