Conduit coupling apparatus and method
A coupling may be configured to receive and secure an insertion end of a conduit. An outer surface of the insertion end of the conduit may be smooth and free of grooves, flanges and beads. A first member of the coupling may define a first passageway. A second member of the coupling may define a second passageway. The first member may be in spin weld engagement with the second member. A gripping ring having an inner edge defining a series of teeth may be disposed within the second member. A support ring and O-ring may also be disposed within the second member.
Adapter for sealing boot for electrical interconnections
An adapter for a sealing boot includes: an annular body having a radially-outward exterior surface; at least one helical thread extending radially inwardly to define a threaded interior surface and defining a plurality of roots and crests, wherein the crests extend radially inwardly a distance A from the roots; and a blocking section that extends axially across the plurality of roots and crests, the blocking section extending radially inwardly at least the distance A from the roots at junctions with the crests, and extending radially inwardly a distance B from the roots in areas between the roots and crests.
Pipe end protector
A pipe end protector for protecting pipe threads provided on a female pipe end of a pipe component for exploration and production of a hydrocarbon well, said pipe end protector comprising a main body and an annular flexible axial lip seal, wherein the main body is made from a first polymeric material having a first elastic modulus, and the lip seal is made from a second polymeric material having a second elastic modulus which is lower than the first elastic modulus.
JOINT RESTRAINT DEVICE
A mechanical joint includes a piping element, the piping element comprising an element flange, the piping element defining a socket extending inwards from the element flange; a pipe length, the pipe length extending through the element flange into the socket, the pipe length defining an outer pipe surface; and a gland, the pipe length extending through the gland, the gland comprising a joint restraint assembly, the joint restraint assembly comprising: a restraint base, the restraint base defining a restraint pocket; and a gripper disposed within the restraint pocket, the gripper configured to rotate in the restraint pocket, the gripper further configured to engage the outer pipe surface to prevent removal of the pipe length from the socket, wherein the joint restraint assembly is selectably configurable from a prepared position to an activated position.
Conduit with connector and assembly thereof
A fluid supply line is provided to reduce the labor and cost required for dripline system installations by providing predetermined fitting locations where driplines can be attached. The supply line consists of a conduit having a side wall, a connector extending through the side wall of the conduit, the connector having a conduit connecting segment extending outside the conduit and an inlet segment extending into the conduit, and the inlet segment being connected to the side wall of the conduit.
Coupler door push button release for agricultural vehicle
A locking assembly for a door assembly of an agricultural vehicle includes: an actuator that defines an actuator axis and is linearly movable between a first position and a second position and rotatable about the actuator axis between a first locking orientation and a second locking orientation and includes a pair of locking features; a biaser configured to bias the actuator toward the first position; an energizer configured to bias the actuator toward the first locking orientation when the actuator is in the second locking orientation; and a lock configured to engage a second locking feature when the actuator is in the second locking orientation. Linear movement of the actuator from the first position to the second position while the actuator is in the second locking orientation causes the lock to disengage from the second locking feature so the energizer rotates the actuator towards the first locking orientation.
Multi-coupler and cover thereof
A multi-coupler of a work vehicle includes a first portion and a cover. The first portion has a coupling surface. The first hydraulic connector is arranged on the coupling surface. The cover is movable between a first position in which the cover covers the coupling surface and a second position in which the coupling surface is uncovered by cover. The cover has a cover shell defining an interior cavity. The cover also includes an insert received into the interior cavity of the cover shell. The insert is operable to absorb a fluid that escapes from the first hydraulic connector.
Connector cover and methods
A removable cover to protect a connector between two conduits includes a single body having a wall surrounding an interior volume. The body has a neck sized to grip a portion of a first of the conduits. The body has a size-adjustable section to permit the body to be shortened or lengthened. The body has a casing section. The casing section protects a coupling connecting together the two conduits.
ANTI-DEBRIS DEVICE FOR COVERING CONNECTORS IN FLUID SYSTEM
An anti-debris device releasably engages and covers an unconnected end of a fluid-conveying quick disconnect connector to prevent debris intrusion. The device comprises a boot defining a cavity shaped to receive the connector, a connector-receiving access opening to the cavity, and a closure member such as flexible sheet slit to form resilient fingers movable between an opening-covering position preventing intrusion of foreign matter when the boot is not being used, but that flex to a connector-receiving position when an unconnected portion of a connector is biased against the closure member. The fingers assist in retaining the device on the connector. Various embodiments allow retaining the anti-debris device to a particular connector when the device is not in use, and/or for storing/protecting multiple connectors. Related methods are also disclosed and discussed.
Tube connector
A tube connector for attachment to an end of a tube of a pressurized fluid system has a housing, a main sealing element, a gripping element and a cone element. The main sealing element is arranged for sealing an inner surface of the housing to an outer surface of a tube. The gripping element comprises a gripping edge for engaging with an outer surface of a tube. The cone element limits a movement of the grip-ping element. The tube connector further has an integrated release element. The release element has a tubular part, a top part and an environmental sealing. A release edge of the tubular part engages with the gripping element and the environmental sealing is adapted for sealing a receptacle formed in the housing of the environment.
