Pan and tilt assembly for autonomous mobile device

An autonomous mobile device has a tower extending from a main body. The tower pans from left to right. An extensible mast may extend through, and pan with, the tower. An upper section is attached to the tower by a hinge and may tilt with respect to the tower. The upper section may include a touchscreen or other devices. An assembly with separate pan and tilt motors allows for the tower and attached upper section to pan while also allowing the upper section to tilt independently of the panning motion. The tilt motor is within the portion of the assembly rotated by the pan motor. The tilt motor drives a worm gear in the tower to rotate a tilt axle. An asymmetric friction hinge connects to the upper section to the tilt axle. Rotating the tilt motor rotates the worm gear, rotating the tilt axle and the attached upper section.

Movable stand assembly and method of use

A stand assembly and method of converting a stand assembly from a moveable configuration to a stationary configuration is provided. The stand assembly includes a plurality of wheel assemblies slidably engaged with a plurality of respective trivets, each wheel assembly being moveable between a stowed configuration and a deployed configuration, thereby moving each trivet between a deployed configuration and a stowed configuration, respectively. When in their respective deployed configurations, a distal end of each trivet is engaged with the floor, thereby causing the stand assembly to be in the stationary configuration. When in their respective stowed configurations, the distal end of each trivet is positioned between two wheels of the wheel assembly such that the wheel assembly prevents the trivet from engaging with objects on the floor, thereby minimizing adjustments required to obtain desired ground clearance.

Display support system and method for the use thereof

A display support system includes a display support system having a pair of posts spaced apart in a first direction and upper and lower vertically spaced beams extending in the first direction. Each of the upper and lower beams has first and second ends coupled to the posts. A pair of receivers are carried by each of the upper and lower beams, wherein the receivers open upwardly in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, and wherein the receivers are movable relative to the upper and lower beams in at least the second direction. A plurality of mounting members, each having an insert portion, are removably received in one of the receivers, wherein the mounting members are adapted to be coupled to the display.

HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE PLATFORMS AND ASSOCIATED MECHANISMS

A mobile workstation can include a head unit assembly. A worksurface can be coupled to the head unit assembly and configured to translate with respect to the head unit assembly between an open configuration and a closed configuration. A glide can be rotatably coupled to the head unit assembly and engaged with the worksurface. The glide can include a latch configured to translate with respect to a glide body of the glide. The mobile workstation can include a worksurface opening mechanism having a locking configuration and an unlocking configuration. The worksurface opening mechanism can include a latch release handle moveably coupled to the head unit assembly. Movement of the latch release handle can transition the worksurface opening mechanism between the locked configuration and the unlocked configuration. A release assembly can selectively engage with the first latch. A lift system can bias the worksurface away from the head unit assembly.
