Autonomous mobile device with extensible mast
An autonomous mobile device (AMD) includes a telescoping mast with sensors on top that are connected to a cable running through the mast. An inner section of the mast includes a bobbin that secures cables. The bobbin has a shaft and features that guide cables to helically wind around the shaft. The bobbin reduces stress on the cable as the mast moves. The mast is lifted by a rack that includes a portion with teeth and a portion without. The portion with teeth is driven by a motor. The portion without teeth connects the rack to a spool. The toothless section reduces stress on the toothed portion of the rack as it spools or unspools. The AMD includes a hinge to tilt a display. To securely position the hinge on a shaft, the shaft is spun after assembly so that a push nut cuts a retention groove in the shaft.
Support and stabilization systems
A stabilization system (6) comprises a base for attachment to a first object (2), a telescopic element having a first portion rotatably engaged with the base, and a second portion linearly slidably engaged with the first portion. The second portion has an attachment portion adapted for reception of a second object (1). The system includes plurality of linear actuators, each linear actuator having a first portion rotatably engaged with the base, and a second portion linearly slidably engaged with the first portion of the actuator concerned, and rotatably engaged with the second portion of the telescopic element. Each linear actuator is operable to drive the second portion thereof linearly with respect to the first portion thereof.
Apparatus, surgical microscopy system, and method for compensating a balancing error in a stand for a surgical microscope
A stand for a surgical microscope includes a first stand part including a first bearing and a second bearing, a shaft arranged in the first bearing and defining a rotation axis, a second stand part fixedly connected to the shaft, mounted on the first stand part together with the shaft pivotably about the rotation axis, and including a force transmission point, a lever part mounted on the second stand part at the force transmission point, arranged pivotably about the rotation axis, and including a third bearing, and a torque compensation assembly applying a counter torque to the second stand part to compensate a load torque including a dynamic load torque occurring when the second stand part is pivoted about the rotation axis and a static load torque resulting from a gravitation force acting on the second stand part and on elements mounted on the second stand part.
Adaptable product display systems and methods
A product display system includes a base, a shelving support assembly coupled to the base, and one or more shelves removably secured to the shelving support assembly. The one or more shelves are securable to the shelving support assembly in a first configuration and a second configuration that differs from the first configuration.

PLATFORM FOR A VARIABLE ADAPTABLE PIECE OF FURNITURE, SUCH A PIECE OF FURNITURE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SUCH A PIECE OF FURNITURE
The invention relates to a platform for a variably adaptable piece of furniture and to a piece of furniture with such a platform. The platform has a base, a column and a mounting bracket for mounting interchangeable accessory modules. The universal mounting bracket has a mechanical mounting interface for mounting and dismounting interchangeable accessory modules. The platform has electrical functionality. The platform also has an identification interface for identifying an accessory module mounted on the platform and a control unit. The control unit is adapted to receive identification information about an accessory module mounted on the platform from the identification interface and to control an adaptation of the electrical functionality of the platform depending on the received identification information.
CALIBRATION SYSTEM AND CALIBRATION BRACKET THEREFOR
A calibration system and a calibration bracket are provided. The calibration bracket includes a base, a stand assembly and a support assembly. One end of a fixed vertical rod is mounted to the base, and a movable vertical rod is mounted to another end of the fixed vertical rod. The support assembly is mounted to the movable vertical rod. A driving mechanism includes a first threaded rotating member, a second threaded rotating member and a threaded fixed member. The first threaded rotating member is mounted to the fixed vertical rod. The second threaded rotating member includes a first threaded structure and a second threaded structure. The second threaded rotating member is mounted to the first threaded rotating member through the first threaded structure and is mounted to the threaded fixed member through the second threaded structure. The threaded fixed member is fixedly mounted to the movable vertical rod.
