WIND TURBINE MAIN ROTOR ARRANGEMENT WITH INTEGRATED LUBRICATION FACILITY
20190390658 · 2019-12-26 ·

A main rotor arrangement for a wind turbine, comprising a shaft which is rotatable within a shaft housing about a rotational axis, a bearing including an inner ring, an outer ring, and a plurality of rolling elements, wherein the bearing is located between the shaft and the housing thereby to enable the shaft to rotate within the shaft housing. The shaft housing includes a first lubrication passage for carrying lubricating fluid through the shaft housing, wherein the outer ring of the bearing includes a second lubricating passage to direct lubricating fluid from the first lubricating passage in the direction of the plurality of rolling elements. The invention provides a space efficient arrangement which avoids the need to fluid delivery nozzles arranged externally to the bearing to direct fluid at the rolling elements, as in the prior art. The arrangement also means that lubrication fluid is delivered right to where it is needed in a more efficient way than in the prior art.

Lubricant Applicator for Fishing Lines and Leaders
20190357510 · 2019-11-28 ·

A new utensil which solves the aforementioned problems due to developing an instrument with a number of advantages compared with the traditional method already described for lubrication of fishing lines and leaders. This tool fundamentally helps this operation to be made comfortably, fast, in such a way the user can hold the rod while proceeding to the greasing and the guiding, for the storage of the assembly into the reel, is done through this, so the risk of the lubricant not remaining finally on the fishing line and/or leader is diminished. It is basically made up by two parts, on the one side, an outer cover which enables its fixing to the rod through the upper hole, also houses the support material for the lubricant and contains a cavity that allows the storage of other instruments, as well as the tool for the impregnation of the support material with the lubricant.

Oil Tank Filling System

An oil tank filling system for filling the oil tank of a gas turbine engine that includes an aft core cowl. The system includes an oil tank that has an oil tank top and an oil tank bottom and is located within a core of the engine, an oil access port located on the aft core cowl; and an oil tank filling pipe that leads from the oil access port to a tank filling port located at or adjacent the oil tank bottom. The system is configured so that oil that is supplied to the oil access port flows to and into the oil tank using gravitational force. A method of filling the oil tank of a gas turbine engine and a gas turbine engine that includes the oil tank filling system are also disclosed.

Emergency lubrication device of simplified architecture for a power transmission main gearbox of an aircraft

An emergency lubrication device of simplified architecture for a mechanical system. The emergency lubrication device has a tank, trigger means, at least one pipe, and at least one distribution means. The tank contains a lubrication liquid and it is arranged inside the mechanical system and above the pipes and the distribution means. Each distribution means includes at least one constriction means for limiting the flow rate of the lubrication liquid. The lubrication liquid is heated by the mechanical system, and the viscosity of the lubrication liquid decreases so that the flow rate of the lubrication liquid through each distribution means is substantially equal to or greater than a minimum flow rate so long as the tank contains the lubrication liquid.
