Fluid delivery system for a gas turbine engine
A fluid delivery assembly for delivering fluid to a component in a gas turbine engine includes a rotating shaft having a central bore and at least one fluid exhaust in communication with the central bore for centrifugally expelling fluid, and a delivery scoop disposed around the rotating shaft and spaced apart from the rotating shaft by an annular gap. The delivery scoop includes an annular body having at least one impingement surface facing the at least one fluid exhaust and configured to scoop the fluid expelled by the at least one fluid exhaust. The impingement surface has at least one outlet for delivering the scooped fluid to the component. A method of delivering pressurised fluid in a fluid system is also presented.
Device and a System for Controlling the Turning of an Object
A device and a system for controlling the turning of an object includes a shaft enclosing a first space, and a sleeve forming a second space between the shaft and the sleeve. Movement of the sleeve is transmitted to movement of the object. The device further comprises a housing comprising means for rotating the shaft and at least one inlet for a lubricant, and a lubricant collector. The shaft has a first through hole extending from the first space to the second space, and the sleeve has at least a second through hole for providing the second space in fluid communication with the lubricant collector. The housing is in fluid communication with the second space, and the first space is pressurizeable for causing the lubricant in the second space to be displaced through the second through hole and collected in the lubricant collector.
Lubricant supported electric motor with controlled and balanced lubricant flow
A lubricant supported electric motor includes a stator presenting an stator raceway, and a rotor movable relative to the stator and presenting a rotor raceway disposed in spaced relationship with the stator raceway to define a gap therebetween. A lubricant is disposed in the gap for supporting the rotor relative to the stator. The stator defines at least one hydrostatic support chamber disposed in radially recessed relationship relative to the stator raceway and in fluid communication with the gap. The stator also defines a passageway disposed in fluid communication with the at least one hydrostatic support chamber for providing lubricant to the at least one hydrostatic support chamber and the gap. A flow restriction mechanism is disposed in fluid communication with the passageway for controlling and balancing a supply and pressure of the lubricant in the hydrostatic support chamber.

MONITORING SYSTEM FOR PUMP WITH MECHANICAL SEAL LUBRICATION ARRANGEMENT
Systems and methods are provided for remotely monitoring liquid lubricant levels for pump equipment. A system includes a reservoir to store lubricant and a lubrication gland to expose a shaft seal of the pump equipment to the lubricant. A feed line and a return line circulate the lubricant between the reservoir and the lubrication gland. A level sensor is configured to measure a fluid level in the reservoir. The level sensor uses a communication interface to transmit fluid level data a monitoring device mounted to the pump equipment. The monitoring device is configured to compare the fluid level data against stored alert thresholds and send, to a provider network, an alert signal when the fluid level data is below an alert threshold. If the fluid level data is not below an alert threshold, the monitoring device stores the fluid level data for periodic reporting.
TURBOMOLECULAR PUMP LUBRICANT SUPPLY SYSTEMS
A turbomolecular pump has a housing, a rotor shaft supported by a plurality of bearings for rotation relative to the housing about an axis of rotation, a deflector, a lubricant supply system and a lubricant transfer device provided on the rotor shaft. The bearings include a rolling bearing that receives lubricant from the lubricant supply system to via the lubricant transfer device. The rolling bearing is disposed intermediate the lubricant transfer device and the deflector and the deflector is configured to deflect lubricant that passes through the rolling bearing outwardly with respect to the rotor shaft.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OIL SUPPLY TO PUMP
Systems and methods for supplying lubricating oil to a high-pressure fuel pump of an engine fuel system. In one embodiment, a system may include a plurality of channels routing lubricating oil to a gear system and drive shaft of a pump without flowing an entire volume of the lubricating oil through a cavity of the drive shaft.

DRIVING SYSTEM FOR MACHINING TOOLS OR OTHER TOOLING USABLE WITH METAL-FABRICATING PRESSES OR OTHER MACHINES
Driving systems for tools used with metal-fabricating presses or other machines, whereby planetary gears are used in the systems, and whereby the driving systems can be constructed for use with particular tooling, such as tapping tools, and complementary systems can be exemplarily configured for use with such driving systems. The driving systems can enable enhanced tool output as compared to conventional driving mechanisms, while also enabling variable disassembly and configuration of the systems relative to the intended machining operations.
