HYDRAULIC FILL SYSTEM

An agricultural system that includes a hydraulic fluid tank with a conduit. The hydraulic fluid tank receives and stores hydraulic fluid. A hydraulic fill system couples to and facilitates filling of the hydraulic fluid tank. The hydraulic fill system includes an arm that rotates with respect to the hydraulic fluid tank between an extended position and a retracted position. The arm defines a channel. A connector couples to the arm. The connector defines an opening that receives the hydraulic fluid. A flexible conduit rests within the channel. The flexible conduit includes a first end and a second end. The first end couples to the conduit and the second end couples to the connector

CONDITION MONITORING POD

Apparatuses are disclosed including an apparatus for machine fluid monitoring or sampling comprising a transparent sight glass attachable to a machine such that machine fluid is transferable to the sight glass. The sight glass is at least partially constructed of one or more materials that is transparent to light in a visible region. The sight glass has an open first end, a closed second end, an inside surface and an outside surface extending from the open first end to the closed second end and across the closed second end, the sight glass at least partially surrounds a cavity within the sight glass, the inside surface and the outside surface of the closed second end being parallel. The closed second end is constructed of the one or more materials that are transparent to light in the visible region to allow inspection of machine fluid through the closed second end.

Reservoir overfill protection

A protection mechanism for a lubricant reservoir is mounted within a valve protection chamber disposed on an actuator. The protection mechanism includes a valve actuating plate and an elastic member biasing the valve actuating plate upwards. The actuator is pushed upwards by a rising level of lubricant as the lubricant reservoir is filled. When the reservoir is full, the actuator causes the valve actuating plate to contact a valve stem. The valve actuating plate pushes the valve stem up to shut off a flow of lubricant to the reservoir through the shut off valve. During an overfill event the actuator shifts upward due to the rising level of the lubricant in the reservoir. As the actuator shifts upward, the elastic member compresses such that valve actuating plate remains static relative to the lubricant reservoir as actuator rises.

Aircraft engine oil filler apparatus

An aircraft engine oil filler apparatus includes a filler tube configured to be connected to an oil tank such that a bottom portion of the filler tube is disposed inside the oil tank, a valve received in the bottom portion of the filler tube movable between an open position in which the valve hydraulically connects the filler tube to the oil tank, and a closed position in which the valve hydraulically disconnects the filler tube from the oil tank, and a float disposed above the valve and operatively connected to the valve to move the valve from the open position to the closed position when oil inside the oil tank rises to a threshold level. The valve is movable independently from the float when pressure in the oil tank is greater than pressure in the filler tube. A method of operation of an oil filler apparatus is also described.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ELECTRONIC FLUID MEASUREMENT

An agricultural product application implement includes a system and method for indicating an amount of fluid stored. A pressure transducer installed at the sump of a fluid tank electronically measures and displays a fluid depth. Instrumentation, such as an instrument cluster unit for the implement, is programmed via software to convert the voltage output of the pressure transducer to a volume measurement displayed in the operator's line of sight. Software within the instrument cluster unit for self-calibrating accounts for varying densities of different chemical solutions. The pressure transducer is used in conjunction with a transfer medium to prevent corrosive chemical solutions from contacting the pressure transducer.

Valve device and jet engine with a valve device

A valve device of a jet engine includes a body, a seat and a flow path between an inlet and an outlet that can be closed and opened. Depending on an actuating force that results from a fluid pressure at a front surface of the body facing the inlet, as well as from a closing force applied to the body, the body can be transferred between open and closed states, and can be transferred into an operational state in which the flow path is opened by a setting device depending on an ambient pressure. The flow path can be opened via the setting device such that a flow cross-section of the flow path corresponds to at least 80% of the flow cross-section of the flow path in the area of the inlet across the entire extension of the flow path between the inlet and the outlet.

The sight glass may have one or more ports, an open first end, a closed second end, and a cavity for the machine fluid. A grommet may be positioned in a first port of the sight glass and may have a sealable access pathway through the grommet to the cavity within the sight glass through which a probe may be extended. A magnetic plug may be positioned in the second port of the sight glass extending into the cavity within the sight glass such that the magnetic plug is positionable for contact with the machine fluid. A sample port assembly may be connected to the sight glass whereby samples of the machine fluid are accessible.
