Cleaning solution for produce

A cleaning solution for produce includes Himalayan pink crystal salt, turmeric powder, and water. In an embodiment, the turmeric powder is Alleppey finger turmeric powder. The cleaning solution can include equal concentrations of Himalayan crystal salt and Alleppey finger turmeric powder. The cleaning solution for produce can be particularly effective for detoxifying fruits and vegetables of pesticide residues and bacterial contamination.

USE OF QUILLAJA SAPONARIA EXTRACTS FOR THE PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF BACTERIAL INFECTIONS IN FISH

The present invention provides a new use of Quillaja extracts for manufacturing a medicinal composition for the prevention and control of bacterial diseases in fish, which is preferably administered orally in combination with food. Other objects of the invention are related to a medicinal composition and a food composition for the prevention and control of bacterial diseases in fish comprising said Quillaja extracts.

A method of infusing salt can include heating salt to a temperature above the boiling point of water. The method can also apply a liquid additive solution to the heated salt to create an infused salt. The temperature of the heated salt can be sufficiently high that the salt remains above the boiling point of water for a first period of time after the liquid additive solution is applied thereto.

According to the present invention, a sterilant can be injected into a container without residual water on an object to be sterilized. The method includes decreasing a pressure in the container to a pressure higher than the triple point pressure at which water freezes. The method further includes comparing an actual time required for decreasing the pressure and a reference time, or comparing an actual rate of pressure increase and a reference rate to detect residual water on the object. If the residual water is detected, the pressure in the container is increased to the atmospheric pressure or the quasi-atmospheric pressure and the object is heated, and then the pressure is decreased to drain the residual water through the decompression boiling. The step of draining the residual water is repeatedly performed until no residual water is detected on the object and subsequently the sterilant is injected into the container.
