DRIVE MODULE WITH IMPROVED EFFICIENCY
A drive module for a vehicle including an electric machine, an inverter, a gearing assembly, and a cooling system. A first housing member thermally coupled with the inverter has a first set of heat exchange surfaces and a second housing member thermally coupled with the electric machine has a second set of heat exchange surfaces. The first and second sets of heat exchange surfaces each project into an interior volume cooled by an externally supplied liquid coolant which thereby defines a heat exchanger. A lower oil sump for collecting oil used to cool the electric machine may also include heat exchange surfaces projecting into the same heat exchanger. The gearbox may include an elevated oil sump which is supplied by the same oil pump circulating oil on the electric machine wherein the elevated oil sump gravity feeds oil onto selected surfaces within the gearbox.
LUBRICATION DEVICE FOR POWER TAKE OFF
A lubrication device for a power take off coupling for a prime mover, the lubrication device including: a lubrication device shaft having a first end for connecting to an output shaft of the prime mover and a second end for connecting to an input shaft for receiving power from the output shaft; a lubricant chamber surrounding at least part of the lubrication device shaft between the first end and the second end; and a housing enclosing the lubrication device shaft and the lubricant chamber; wherein the lubrication device shaft includes a plurality of internal lubricant passages for conveying lubricant from the lubricant chamber to the first end and the second end of the lubrication device shaft, with the internal lubricant passages comprising fluid passages extending along the axial length of the lubrication device shaft as well as fluid passages extending radially to outer surfaces of the lubrication device shaft.
PUMPING DEVICE
The pumping device includes a barrel, a cover, a pumping mechanism, a positioning ring, and plural posts. The barrel has plural first positioning portions extending upward near a bottom thereof. The cover is disposed on the barrel to selectively close the barrel. The pumping mechanism is disposed on the cover for pumping liquid in the receiving space outward or pumping liquid outside into the receiving space. The positioning ring is detachably combined by two semi-ring bodies and is sleeved onto the cover and the barrel to position the cover on the barrel. The positioning ring has plural second positioning portions. Each of the posts connects the positioning ring and the bottom of the barrel therebetween. Each post is detachably connected to one of the first positioning portions and one of the second positioning portions therebetween so that the two semi-ring bodies are unable to separate freely.
Fluid pressure loop
A lubrication loop includes a main flow path connected to a lubrication flow path, a control valve connected to the main flow path, a return flow path connected to the control valve and configured to return the fluid to the fluid pump, and a sub-flow path branching off from the main flow path. The control valve includes a discharge port at a distance from a supply port of a valve housing chamber and connected to the return flow path, an open port formed at one end of the valve housing chamber to discharge the fluid, an annular recessed portion formed on an outer circumferential surface of the spool has a width extending from the supply port to the discharge port, and a sub port annularly formed between the discharge port and the open port on an inner circumferential surface of the valve housing chamber and connected to the sub-flow path.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING CLUSTER OF VEHICLE
An apparatus for controlling a cluster of a vehicle may include, an oil pressure switch (OPS) mounted at an oil passage of an engine, a driving information detection unit configured of receiving an oil pressure signal from the OPS through a connector of the OPS, an OPS connection determination unit configured of determining that the OPS is disconnected when a first waveform voltage determined from a first oil pressure signal detected before the engine is started is the same as a second waveform voltage determined from a second oil pressure signal detected after the engine is started, and a control unit configured of controlling the cluster to turn on a warning lamp in a response that the control unit receives disconnection event information related to the OPS.
OIL DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
A computer for a manufacturer includes: a storage device storing amount-of-change determination values specified for respective amount-of-change indexes indicative of tendencies of temporal changes in pieces of sensor data A, B, and C, about a plurality of oil properties including a viscosity, a density, and a dielectric constant of oil; an abnormality determining section determining abnormality of the oil on the basis of the pieces of sensor data A, B, and C about the plurality of oil properties and abnormality determination values SAh, SAI, SBh, and SCh prescribed for the respective pieces of sensor data A, B, and C about the plurality of oil properties; a cause identifying section identifying, when the abnormality determining section determines the oil to be abnormal, the cause of the abnormality on the basis of the type of the oil property determined to be abnormal and the amount-of-change determination value of the oil property.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR COOLING A HIGH HEAT-GENERATING COMPONENT OF A VEHICLE
An apparatus is provided for cooling a high heat-generating vehicle component having a coolant loop. The apparatus comprises an air compressor assembly including a heat-sinking portion that can be thermally coupled to the coolant loop to transfer heat energy away from the coolant loop to enhance cooling of the vehicle component.
Fill tube
The subject matter described herein includes a fill tube apparatus's and methods of manufacturing a fill tube apparatus. The fill tube can include an inner tube funnel element comprising an inner wall portion, a mouth opening portion, a hollow shaft portion, a hollow stem portion, and a stem opening portion. Furthermore, the fill tube can include an outer tube element comprising an outer wall portion comprising a base portion, a grip portion, a valley portion, and a threaded stem portion.
PTO lubrication system for hybrid vehicles
A vehicle drive system includes a first prime mover, a transmission, a power take-off (PTO), a lubrication system for the transmission and the PTO, and a control system. The transmission is powered by the first prime mover. The transmission is configured to rotate a drive shaft of the vehicle. The PTO is connected to the transmission at a first interface. The PTO includes the first interface and a second interface. The control system is configured to control fluid flow through the lubrication system for at least one mode where the input section of the PTO is stationary and the output section rotates.
