OIL SUPPLY DEVICE

An oil supply device that includes a first pump configured to discharge oil by being driven by power transferred along the power transfer path; a second pump configured to discharge the oil by being driven by a power source independent of the power transfer path; a first supply oil passage through which the oil discharged from the first pump is supplied to the transmission; and a second supply oil passage through which the oil discharged from the second pump is supplied to the friction engagement device.

Automotive transmission with heat exchanger bypass cartridge

A transmission capable of being assembled as a coolerless transmission and a transmission having an oil cooler includes a housing and a lubrication system. The oil passage system includes an oil passage having an oil outlet opening extending out of the housing and an oil inlet opening extending into the housing. A bypass flow passage is disposed in the housing in communication with the oil outlet opening and the oil inlet opening. In a coolerless configuration a pair of plugs are inserted in the oil outlet opening and the oil inlet opening, respectively, to close off the oil outlet opening and the oil inlet opening so that oil flows from the oil outlet opening to the oil inlet opening through the bypass flow passage. In a transmission configuration having an oil cooler, an exterior oil cooler is connected to the oil outlet opening and the oil inlet opening.

Lubrication device for power take off

A lubrication device for a power take off coupling for a prime mover, the lubrication device including: a lubrication device shaft having a first end for connecting to an output shaft of the prime mover and a second end for connecting to an input shaft for receiving power from the output shaft; a lubricant chamber surrounding at least part of the lubrication device shaft between the first end and the second end; and a housing enclosing the lubrication device shaft and the lubricant chamber; wherein the lubrication device shaft includes a plurality of internal lubricant passages for conveying lubricant from the lubricant chamber to the first end and the second end of the lubrication device shaft, with the internal lubricant passages comprising fluid passages extending along the axial length of the lubrication device shaft as well as fluid passages extending radially to outer surfaces of the lubrication device shaft.

PTO lubrication system for hybrid vehicles

A vehicle drive system includes a first prime mover, a transmission, a power take-off (PTO), a lubrication system for the transmission and the PTO, and a control system. The transmission is powered by the first prime mover. The transmission is configured to rotate a drive shaft of the vehicle. The PTO is connected to the transmission at a first interface. The PTO includes the first interface and a second interface. The control system is configured to control fluid flow through the lubrication system for at least one mode where the input section of the PTO is stationary and the output section rotates.

HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT

A hydraulic circuit includes a hydraulic pump configured to supply lubricating oil, a resisting apparatus configured to maintain an oil pressure of the lubricating oil supplied from the hydraulic pump, an oil supply channel configured to guide the lubricating oil from the hydraulic pump to the resisting apparatus, and an optical detector configured to measure a degree of contamination of the lubricating oil flowing through the oil supply channel.

DRIVELINE POWER TRANSMITTING COMPONENT WITH LUBRICATION AERATION FOR REDUCED DRAG LOSSES
20190338846 · 2019-11-07 ·

A vehicle driveline component includes a housing defining an oil sump and a gear rotatably supported within the housing and at least partially in the oil sump. An oil aerating system is provided for introducing air bubbles into the oil sump through an air introduction passage. The air bubbles are directed at the ring gear and will reduce the effective density/viscosity of the oil, thereby reducing drag on the ring gear.

Hydraulic torque converter for work machine

A loader backhoe work machine in which a power unit is coupled to a power train through a torque convertor. The torque convertor incorporates a lock up clutch to enable more efficient operation of the work machine in a transport mode while retaining the torque multiplication feature during the loading and/or backhoe operations. The control system for the lock up clutch senses selected engine and system operating parameters to engage the lock up clutch only when those sensors indicate a transport operating condition.
