High-Efficiency Smooth Bore Nozzles
A high efficiency nozzle is designed. The nozzle allows water streams with long-range and high surface area in one system. Suitable transitions in the fluid pathways allow creating water streams that have a robust flow profile. The system allows minimum energy loss whilst maximizing the velocity and surface area. Such nozzles can be used for a variety of applications including but not limited to fire suppression, pressure washing, watering, and other such applications.
WET FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR STORAGE
Fire protection systems and methods of fire protection systems for protection of a stored commodity. The systems and methods included a plurality of fluid distribution devices disposed above the stored commodity and configured for selective identification and controlled actuation in response to a fire. The systems have a hydraulic demand defined by at least one of: i) a hydraulic design area having a minimum operational area of less than 768 square feet; or ii) less than twelve hydraulic design devices.

Controlled system and methods for storage fire protection
Fire protection systems and methods for ceiling-only high-piled storage protection. The systems include a plurality of fluid distribution devices disposed beneath a ceiling and above a high-piled storage commodity having a nominal storage height ranging from a nominal 20 ft. to a maximum nominal storage height of 55 ft. and means for quenching a fire in the storage commodity. The stored commodity to be protected may include exposed expanded plastics. The fluid distribution devices include a frame body having an inlet, an outlet, a sealing assembly, and an electronically operated releasing mechanism supporting the sealing assembly in the outlet.
Wet-dry fire extinguishing agent
Fire extinguishing systems and methods, such as for combating compartment fires, can include or use wet and dry agents such as water droplets and aerosol-based particulate extinguisher agents. In an example, an extinguishing system includes a centralized extinguishing controller that can selectively provide the wet and dry agents to a compartment or environment. In other examples, dedicated dispenser systems separately, but optionally concurrently, provide water and aerosol-based agents to combat a compartment fire.
Water extinguishing system and associated method for controlling the water extinguishing system
The invention relates to a water extinguishing system (1) with a fluid supply (20), a pump (30) and a test line (40) with an opening element (2) which is configured to open the test line (40) during a test run of the pump (30). According to the invention, the test line (40) further comprises a closing element (4) which is configured to close the test line (40) if the water extinguishing system (1) is triggered.
Integrated cargo fire suppression and inerting system
An integrated fire suppression system receives inert gas from onboard gas generators and water effluent from onboard water generators. The inert gas and water effluent are mixed in a gas-water mixer to generate an inert aerosol. The inert aerosol is provided to a fire suppressant distribution network and sprayed into areas of the aircraft requiring fire suppression to provide cooling and to prevent reignition.
Component for a Fire Protection System, Method for Producing the Same and Fire Protection System Comprising the Same
The invention relates to a component (1, 1, 1, 1, 2) for a fire protection system, in particular a fire extinguishing system having a housing (11, 21). In accordance with the invention, at least one nozzle (10, 20, 3, 3) for dispensing extinguishing fluid onto the component (1, 1, 1, 1, 2) is arranged on the housing (11, 21) or in the vicinity of the housing (11, 21), the nozzle (10, 20, 3, 3) being connectable to a supply of extinguishing fluid.
FOG-CLOUD GENERATING NOZZLE
A fog-cloud generating nozzle is disclosed. In one embodiment, a nozzle head having a fluid passageway is threadable coupled to a nozzle base. The nozzle base, which provides a threadable coupling to a water source, is disposed in fluid communication with the fluid passageway. An inner sleeve is rotationally disposed within the fluid passageway with bearing surfaces against the nozzle head and the nozzle base. Multiple discharge ports of the nozzle head and multiple discharge orifices of the inner sleeve cooperate to generate a fog-cloud having a magnified forward thrust component and enabled directional control.
SYSTEM AND CONTROLLING METHOD FOR EXTINGUISHING FIRE IN BATTERY OF VEHICLE
A system and a controlling method for extinguishing a fire in a battery of a vehicle is provided for preventing the vehicle from being completely burned out and protecting consumer's physical assets by injecting cooling water of a water cooling system when a fire occurs in a battery to extinguish the fire of the battery at an early stage and by supplying an external cooling material from outside of the vehicle to extinguish the fire of the battery when the fire of the battery is not extinguished at the early stage.
