Sensor device for monitoring the state of a lubricant and method for producing said sensor device

Rolling bearings include a plurality of rolling bodies which during operation roll on raceways. In order to reduce friction during rolling, it is customary to supply the rolling bearings with a lubricant. However, the quality of the lubricant can deteriorate during operation due to long-term stress, aging, or thermal influences, or get lost in gaps etc. The objective addressed by the invention is that of providing a sensor device, which can be operated in a functionally reliable manner. This objective is achieved by a sensor device for monitoring the state of a lubricant in a lubricant chamber, including a transmitter platform, wherein on the transmitter platform, a plurality of diode devices are arranged, having a measurement window device, wherein the measurement window device is arranged between a measuring chamber and the lubricant chamber, having a receiving device, wherein at least one of the diode devices comprises a die and a plastic dome. The plastic dome and the die are connected by way of a contact surface, wherein the contact surface is arranged on an upper side of the die.

OIL SENSOR FOR A COMPRESSOR

An oil sensor comprising a holder to which an elongated crystal is fastened that is transparent to infrared light and with a refractive index greater than the refractive index of the oil to be examined, whereby a light source is provided in the holder at a first end of the elongated crystal for transmitting light in the infrared spectrum in the elongated crystal, and detector at a second end of the elongated crystal for measuring the intensity of the light, which during the passage through the elongated crystal undergoes total reflection at a boundary plane at least four times in succession in a contact zone where the elongated crystal comes into contact with the oil, wherein the oil sensor is further provided with at least one temperature sensor to determine the temperature of at least one of the components of the oil sensor.

A method and device for analyzing oils, technical service fluids and for the evaluation of the operating states of units, wherein a drop of test fluid to be examined is applied to a test medium which is allowed to penetrate the medium, and is evaluated after a preselected time by optically comparing a resulting image with the data of a plurality of reference images with respect to a plurality of test criteria. The test fluids to be examined can give information about the state of the test fluids. Fast and reliable detection, evaluation, and assessment are possible and reduce the influence of subjective assessment influences. A computer-assisted comparison of the data of the images with the data of the reference images is performed. Data of the images from the front, back-light, and possibly the UV back-light recording are associated with images for a test criterion that has the greatest correspondence.

This invention encompasses embodiments for multi-modal integrated simultaneous measurement of various aspects of fluids contained in circulating systems such as automotive reciprocating engines and vehicle transmissions. These circulating systems perform constant internal lubrication, and heat and contaminant removal to protect the internal moving parts from the inherent friction and damage in normal operation. Most commonly this is achieved with fluids based on hydrocarbon and/or related synthetics, which, over time, can lose their protective properties, and vary in their performance or breakdown/decay due to internal and external events. Several components within the lubricant fluid can be measured and can provide insight into the efficacy of the system to perform its designed mission. Described herein is a real-time, simultaneous, integrated, multi-modal sensor system for early warning notification.

Apparatus and Method

An apparatus comprising: an identity determiner configured to determine an identity of a removable fluid container; a characteristic determiner configured to obtain a first characteristic based on testing the fluid of the fluid container; a data obtainer configured to obtain a second characteristic based on the identity; and a processor configured to control a fluid provider to provide fluid from the removable fluid container based on the comparison of the first characteristic and the second characteristic.

Liquid deterioration determination device and hydraulic unit

A liquid deterioration determination device includes a light receiver and a determination unit. The light receiver receives detection light transmitted through a liquid or detection light reflected by the liquid. The determination unit determines a degree of deterioration of the liquid. The light receiver outputs first and second detection values. The first detection value represents an amount of a light component of a first color included in the detection light transmitted through the liquid or the detection light reflected by the liquid. The second detection value represents an amount of a light component of a second color included in the detection light transmitted through the liquid or the detection light reflected by the liquid. The second color is different from the first color. The determination unit determines the degree of deterioration of the liquid based on a ratio of the second detection value to the first detection value.
