Sprinkler system antifreeze compositions and methods
An antifreeze composition and a sprinkler system containing the antifreeze composition are described. Examples include aqueous antifreeze compositions containing relatively low amounts of glycerin and/or glycols, and which further include additives that are relatively non-flammable compared to glycerin and glycols. The additives are generally compatible with each other in the antifreeze compositions. Examples of the antifreeze compositions are typically relatively non-flammable, have low electrical conductivity and low corrosivity, and are compatible with CPVC.
FIREPROOF COMPOSITION
A fireproof composition is constituted as an aqueous composition and has at least one sugar and magnesium chloride. The fireproof composition can be used for application to products to protect against fire, and can also be used for extinguishing forest, domestic, and/or industrial fires. A method for the preparation of the fireproof composition includes dissolving the at least one sugar and the magnesium chloride in water to form a solution, and adjusting the pH of the solution to between 6.0 and 7.5.
Antifreeze formulation and sprinkler systems comprising improved antifreezes
Antifreezes are provided for deployment in wet sprinkler systems located in cold environments. The antifreezes allow for the wet sprinkler system to be actuated under temperatures below 32° F. Wet sprinklers, sprinkler systems, methods of providing for the control, suppression and/or extinguishment of a fire that occur in a cold environment, and methods of preventing wet sprinklers from freezing also are provided. The sprinklers, sprinkler systems and methods can be used in residential, commercial and storage settings.
SYSTEMS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR SUPPRESSING AND EXTINGUISHING FIRES
Systems and compositions for suppressing and extinguishing several classes of fire, e.g. Class D, fires are disclosed. The composition includes some form of powdered aloe vera, a bio-surfactant, a thickening agent, and a diol. The composition may be mixed with paint to coat a structure thus protecting the structure from fire. The composition may also be mixed with epoxy resin for coating a structure also for fire protection. The composition may also be in the form of a gel in canisters for extinguishing fire.
Haloolefin-based composition
The present invention provides a highly stable haloolefin-based composition that inhibits decomposition or oxidization. The haloolefin-based composition comprising (a) a haloolefin; (b) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of HFO-1234ze, HFC-254eb, HFO-1243zf, HFC-245eb, HFC-245fa, HFC-245cb, HFC-236ea, HFC-236fa, HFO-1225ye, 3,3,3-trifluoropropine, HFC-23, HFC-32, HFC-125, HFC-143a, HFC-134a, FC-1216, HCFO-1233xf, HCFO-1233zd, HCFO-1232xf, HCFO-1223xd, and chloromethane; and (c) water.
Production & Protection Compositions (PPC)
The present invention introduces natural and environmentally acceptable (friendly) chemical compositions for fire-fighting liquids and additives, as well as additives for enhanced oil recovery, oil & gas operation facilities and ships, oil refineries and petrochemical industry, drilling and drilling operations, corrosion protection, de-scaling and scaling prevention, cleaning of raw wool, cotton, textile and fabrics, general industrial cleaning and paint/coating removal, leather, fur and skin industries, sewage and effluent treatment, agriculture, meat, fish and poultry industries, olive oil, vegetable oils, and fruit juice industries, health and beauty and pharmaceutical industries, microbial control and insecticide/biocide, soil remediation, and heat and energy conducting fluids.
Method of stabilization of a haloolefin-based composition
The present invention provides a haloolefin-based composition comprising a highly-stable haloolefin in which decomposition and oxidization are inhibited, and the haloolefin-based composition being used for at least one application selected from the group consisting of heat transfer media, refrigerants, foaming agents, solvents, cleaning agents, propellants, and fire extinguishers. The present invention relates to a haloolefin-based composition comprising a haloolefin and water and being used for at least one application selected from the group consisting of heat transfer media, refrigerants, foaming agents, solvents, cleaning agents, propellants, and fire extinguishers. The haloolefin-based composition comprising a haloolefin and water is used for at least one application selected from the group consisting of heat transfer media, refrigerants, foaming agents, solvents, cleaning agents, propellants, and fire extinguishers.
Fire-extinguishing liquid agent and fire-extinguishing equipment loaded with said fire-extinguishing liquid agent
[Problem] To provide a fire-extinguishing liquid agent in which a fire-extinguishing agent is contained in a desirable balance and is satisfactorily dissolved in a solvent, that is easy to use, and that can be used against normal fires and oil fires, as well as fire-extinguishing equipment loaded with said fire-extinguishing liquid agent. [Solution] A fire-extinguishing liquid agent is sealed in an impact breakable container B that is molded by using a polystyrene resin material in which a general-purpose polystyrene and a styrene-butadiene copolymer are mixed and that has a hand-throwable size, wherein the fire-extinguishing liquid agent is formed: by containing 68-76 parts of sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO.sub.3) relative to 100 parts by weight of ammonium chloride (NH.sub.4Cl); by being treated by passing through a magnetic field having a magnetic flux density of 3000-10000 G; by being dissolved in hot water (magnetic water) in which the temperature thereof is adjusted to 30-50 C.; and by being adjusted to have a pH in a range of 7.5-10.
