Metering of oil flow to engine propeller
There is described herein methods and system for correcting steady state errors in propeller speed by calculating a leakage flow rate as a function of engine and propeller parameters.
AIR/OIL MIST GENERATOR
A generator of air/oil mist includes an accumulation chamber for a mist of particles of oil in air, and equipped with a first mist outlet and a nebulizer feeding into the accumulation chamber, the nebulizer including a first nozzle supplied with pressurised air, which features at least a first channel supplied with the pressurised air, each channel being equipped with an outlet on a surface of the first nozzle partially defining a first chamber axially symmetrical with respect to an axis, the channels being positioned to generate a rotation of the air fed into the first chamber around the said axis, the surface of the first nozzle featuring a section converging towards an outlet hole, the nebulizer featuring a second nozzle supplied with oil and feeding out into the first chamber so that the oil is suctioned via the second nozzle because of the air flowing through the first chamber.
Closed-loop fluid control to obtain efficient machining
A system includes a machine tool that includes a cutting tool, a fluid subsystem that provides fluid to the cutting tool, and at least one processor that executes instructions that cause the at least one processor to: obtain a signal indicative of a load on the cutting tool, establish a first value of at least one parameter of the fluid based on the signal, obtain a second value of the at least one parameter that is based on a simulation, determine a difference between the first value and the second value, and adjust a state of a device of the fluid subsystem based on the determined difference.
Autofill shutoff valve
An autofill shutoff valve includes a valve body mounted to a lubricant reservoir and secured to a fill tube extending into the reservoir. The autofill shutoff valve has a valve stem extending through the valve body and into the lubricant reservoir. The valve stem is actuated by a plate disposed within the reservoir from a first position, wherein lubricant flows from a lubricant inlet to a lubricant outlet through the valve body, to a second position, wherein the valve stem blocks the flow of lubricant through the valve body. The autofill shutoff valve provides lubricant directly to the reservoir, thereby eliminating external plumbing and the autofill shutoff valve also prevents overfill of the reservoir by cutting off the flow when the reservoir is full.
Vent valve
A vent valve for an actuator disposed in a lubricant reservoir includes a bore extending through the plate, a seal disposed within the bore proximate a top surface of the plate, a retaining member extending about a lower opening of the bore, and a ball disposed within the bore between the seal and the retaining member. The vent valve is configured to allow air to pass from a lower portion of a lubricant reservoir as lubricant fills the lower portion. The vent valve also allows air to pass to the lower portion of the lubricant reservoir as lubricant is dispensed from the reservoir. The vent valve closes when the lubricant level reaches the vent valve, thereby preventing lubricant from flowing through the vent valve. The sealed vent valve allows the actuator to rise in response to a rising lubricant level.
Lubricant injector with improved piston
A lubricant injector includes a body having an inlet at a first end fluidly coupleable to a lubricant source, an outlet, a delivery chamber coupled with the outlet and a bore defined by a substantially circular inner surface with a constant inner diameter and spaced axially from the body inlet, the bore having a first port fluidly connected with the body inlet and a second port disposed between the body inlet and the first port and fluidly connected with the delivery chamber. A generally circular cylindrical piston is disposed within the bore so as to divide the bore into an operating chamber fluidly coupled with the first port and a measuring chamber fluidly coupled with the second port and located axially between the operating chamber and the body first end. The piston has an outer circumferential slidably disposed against the bore inner surface and having a generally constant outside diameter.
Lubricant injector
A lubricant injector includes a body having an inlet fluidly coupleable to a lubricant source, an outlet, and an elongated bore extending along an axis and having an outer end proximal to the body second end, a closed inner end spaced axially from the body first end, a first port, and a second port disposed generally between the bore closed end and the first port. A delivery chamber separate from the bore has an inlet port and an outlet port fluidly coupled with the body outlet. A piston disposed within the bore divides the bore into an operating chamber coupled with the first port and a measuring chamber coupled with the second port. The operating chamber is fluidly coupled with the inlet and the measuring chamber is located between the bore closed end and the operating chamber and is fluidly coupleable with the inlet and alternatively with the delivery chamber.
Lubrication system for piston machines
An invention refers to a lubricant injector, a lubrication system and a method for providing lubricant for a piston machine. The lubricant injector is provided with a lubricant inlet conduit and an outlet opening, through which a lubricant is supplied to an inner space to be lubricated of a piston machine. The outlet opening may be selectively opened and closed by means of a needle valve, which is actuated by a magnet coil. The lubricant injector has a flow sensor suitable for determining the quantity of lubricant delivered through the outlet opening.
CONTROL METHOD AND CONTROL UNIT FOR A DC PUMP MOTOR
A method for controlling a DC pump motor, preferably a brushed DC motor for pumping lubricant, which motor is controlled by a pulse-width modulated (PWM) control signal, wherein current parameters are acquired in an acquisition step and a duty cycle (D) of the PWM control signal (S.sub.PWM) is adapted and/or changed on the basis of the detected parameters in an adaptation step, wherein the acquisition of current parameters comprises at least the acquisition of a current input voltage (U.sub.B).
Centerfill of lubricant reservoir
A centerfill assembly for a lubricant reservoir includes a hollow tube for receiving lubricant from the top of the reservoir and loading the lubricant into the reservoir near the bottom of the reservoir. Loading the lubricant near the bottom of the reservoir introduces lubricant near where the stirring paddles mix the lubricant and near where the lubricant is loaded to the lubricant pump. Adding the lubricant near where the pumps load and near the stirring paddles helps to eliminate air pockets in the lubricant. In addition, having the centerfill rod minimizes exterior plumbing and allows for the mounting of valves on the fill line.
