Coiled combustible fuel fluid storage system and method
A system for storing natural gas comprises a plurality of straight sections of tube. The plurality of straight sections of tube are dense packed. The plurality of straight sections of tube are configured to fill a designated volume.
Pressure Vessel Comprising a Load Ring, Motor Vehicle, and Method for Manufacturing a Pressure Vessel
A pressure vessel for storing fuel is provided. The pressure vessel includes a liner for storing fuel, a fiber-reinforced layer which surrounds the liner at least in regions, and at least one load ring. Connecting pins project from the surface of the load ring, and the connecting pins protrude out of the fiber-reinforced layer. A motor vehicle including such a pressure vessel and a production method for the pressure vessel are also provided.
System and method for a heated gas cylinder assembly
Systems and methods for a heated gas cylinder assembly are disclosed. The heated gas cylinder assembly may comprise a cylinder shell and a heat exchanger disposed within the cylinder shell. The heat exchanger and the cylinder shell may define an interior chamber configured to hold a gas mixture. The heat exchanger may comprise an inner bore configured to receive a pyrotechnic composition. In response to igniting the pyrotechnic composition, the heat exchanger may provide thermal conduction to the gas mixture. The gas mixture may be simultaneously heated and released, or the gas mixture may be preheated before release.
Multiple storage tank system
A multiple storage tank system includes: storage tanks in which cryogenic fluid is stored; discharge lines connected to the storage tanks to discharge the stored cryogenic fluid or introduce cryogenic fluid; a supply line connected to the discharge lines and a supply target to supply the discharged cryogenic fluid to the supply target; a build-up line branching off the supply line to control internal pressure of a first storage tank of the storage tanks; and a gas transfer line connected to the storage tanks to transfer gas inside the storage tanks, wherein when the internal pressure of the first storage tank is controlled while the cryogenic fluid passes through the build-up line, gas inside the first storage tank is transferred to at least one other storage tank through the gas transfer line so that internal pressure of the at least one other storage tank is controlled.
GAS TANK LINER AND GAS TANK
A gas tank liner comprises: a cylindrical section formed using a first resin; and a dome section formed using a second resin, the dome section being arranged at each axially opposite end of the cylindrical section, wherein either one of the first resin or the second resin has a higher linear expansion coefficient and higher yield strain than the other, the yield strain being the threshold of strain that, when met, makes the first resin or the second resin incapable of restoring its original state if the first resin or the second resin strains and yields in response to the application of external force.
PRESSURE VESSEL END FITTING RETENTION
A pressure vessel assembly includes one or more pressure elements configured to store compressed gas and an end fitting that extends from an internal cavity of the one or more pressure elements. The pressure vessel assembly includes a retention component configured to sustain engagement of the end fitting with at least one of the pressure elements below a predetermined pressure threshold. The retention component includes a plug connected with the end fitting so that the end fitting does not slide through a distal opening of the one or more pressure element or an anchor connected with the end fitting and comprising arms that are configured to sustain engagement of the end fitting with the at least one of the pressure elements.
Apparatus and Method for Dispensing a Cryogenic Fluid
An apparatus and process for dispensing a cryogenic fluid can include an apparatus and process configured for dispensing the cryogenic fluid into a fuel tank. Embodiments can be configured for dispensing of liquid hydrogen into fuel tanks of vehicles, for example. Embodiments can be provided so no pump usage is necessary for filing the fuel tank or substantially filling the fuel tank (e.g., filling the fuel tank to a level of 90% filled or a level of 95% filled, etc.) during the dispensing. This can permit embodiments to avoid cryogenic boil off and fugitive emission losses as well as reducing power consumption, reducing maintenance costs, and permitting dispensing start-up to occur more quickly.
HYDROGEN STORAGE TANK AND FUEL CELL SYSTEM, AS WELL AS MOTOR VEHICLE HAVING SUCH A HYDROGEN STORAGE TANK AND FUEL CELL SYSTEM
The invention relates to a hydrogen pressure tank using a metal hydride arranged in a porous matrix material.
It is provided that the metal hydride is fixed in the structure of the matrix material.
Modular electronic activation system
This invention discloses an inflator mechanism for rafts and life vests that performs a multitude of functions required for rescue and underwater deployment of personnel and devices. The inner cylinder in this disclosure is actuated by a plethora of inputs, manual, automatic selectable pressure sensing, or dualled hydrostatic sensors which can each be safely selected by function selection. Since the inflator uses spring discs to drive a penetrator which mechanically punctures a membrane of an inflation gas source and actuated by an electronically controlled solenoid, dissolvable elements, conductivity switches and preset check valve actuators are eliminated increasing the safety and reliability of the actuator. Electronic control further permits user enabling of inflation depth actuation and the multiple water sensors prevent failure of actuation due to splashes and humidity effects on sensors. The actuator mechanism is self cocking, indicates proper installation of gas source enables use of several gas source cylinders and is multiply reusable.
Liquid Storage Container
A liquid storage container comprises: a first lid; a container body having an opening on one end, an interior of the container body and the lid forming a chamber. The opening end of the first lid and the opening end of the container body are rotatably and sealingly connected; and a first pipe and a second pipe communicating the chamber with the outside. The first pipe is provided on the first lid. The second pipe is provided on the container body.
