FUEL PUMP MODULE

A fuel pump module which may be easily assembled and mounted in a flat bombe having a small height in an LPG vehicle, may have a structure in which a reservoir cup may be rotated and restored with respect to a plate by support bars and springs, so that the fuel pump module may be easily assembled and mounted even in a flat bombe having a small height. Furthermore, members for blocking noise and absorbing vibration are combined with a fuel pump, so noise and vibration may be reduced when the pump is operated.

A fuel delivery and storage system is provided. A further aspect employs a remote central controller and/or software instructions which receive sensor data from stationary and bulk fuel storage tanks, portable distribution tanks, and end use tanks. Another aspect of the present system senses and transmits tank or hydrogen fuel characteristics including temperature, pressure, filled volume, contaminants, refilling cycle life and environmental hazards. Still another aspect includes a group of hydrogen fuel tanks which is pre-assembled with sensor, valve, microprocessor and transmitter components, at least some of which are within an insulator.

Mobile liquid and gaseous hydrogen refueling apparatus

A mobile liquid and gaseous hydrogen refueling apparatus including: a main storage module for receiving liquid hydrogen to produce first gaseous hydrogen; a liquid pumping and transporting module for receiving the liquid hydrogen, pumping the liquid hydrogen, and producing second gaseous hydrogen; a gas compressing and storing module for receiving at least one of the first gaseous hydrogen and the second gaseous hydrogen and compressing and storing the at least one gaseous hydrogen; and a gas converting and transporting module for receiving the pumped liquid hydrogen and the compressed gaseous hydrogen, performing heat exchange between the pumped liquid hydrogen and the compressed gaseous hydrogen, producing gaseous hydrogen for refueling, and transporting the gaseous hydrogen for refueling to a gaseous hydrogen fuel consumption structure.

Fluid Transfer Apparatus

A fluid transfer apparatus transfers fluid from a first bulk storage vessel at a gas pressure equal to or greater than a first gas pressure. The fluid transfers to a first or second supply vessel; each having a gas pressure equal to or less than a second pressure. The second pressure less than the first pressure. The fluid transfer continues until the fluid in the first or second supply vessel reaches a predetermined weight inside the first or second supply vessel. The fluid in the filled first or second supply vessel, at the predetermined weight, under a pressure equal to or less than the second pressure; and the fluid in a liquefied and gas state. The apparatus heats the fluid in the first or second supply vessel, filled to the predetermined weight, to bring the fluid in the first or second supply vessel to a third gas pressure. The third gas pressure higher than the first gas pressure and the second gas pressure. The fluid in the first or second supply vessel having the third gas pressure can include fluid in the liquefied gas state and gas state or super critical state.

System to Absorbing and Distributing Energy Over Time to Contain a Relief Event

Configuring a high-vapor-pressure (HVP) material comprising a plurality of component hydrocarbons; flashing the HVP material from an HVP liquid to an HVP vapor as the HVP liquid is introduced into an evacuated portion of a containment vessel; introducing a relief mass from a process relief event occurring outside the containment vessel to mix with the HVP material in the containment vessel; and distributing energy from the process relief mass within the containment vessel using a plurality of energy absorption processes in the component hydrocarbons as the plurality of component hydrocarbons respectively condense to liquid phases over time. The evacuated portion of the containment vessel may be a headspace vacuum above a low-vapor-pressure (LVP) liquid within the containment vessel. The HVP material may comprise C4-C10 hydrocarbons. The HVP material may comprise a plurality of component hydrocarbons having diverse boiling points and vapor pressures, that absorb and distribute the relief mass energy.

COUPLING NOZZLE FOR CRYOGENIC FLUID

Methods and apparatus are disclosed for a coupling nozzle for cryogenic fluid. An example nozzle includes a flow body defining a conduit. The flow body is configured to permit cryogenic fluid to flow through the conduit. The nozzle includes a mounting ring through which the flow body slidably extends and a bushing fixedly positioned adjacent the mounting ring. The bushing slidably receives the flow body in a keyed manner to prevent rotation of the flow body. The nozzle includes a flow control assembly at least partially disposed in the conduit of the flow body. The flow control assembly is configured to permit the cryogenic fluid to flow through the flow body in an open position and prevent the cryogenic fluid from flowing through the flow body in a closed position.

A body structure has an inlet port that receives fluid, a first outlet port that connects to a top-fill line of a cryogenic tank, a second outlet port that connects to a bottom-fill line of a cryogenic tank and a slider tube cylinder. A cylinder housing connects to the body structure and has a pressure comparison cylinder with upper and lower volumes, with the latter in fluid communication with a cryogenic tank. A piston having a piston shaft slides within the pressure comparison cylinder. A pressure regulator is in fluid communication with the upper volume and the slider tube cylinder. A slider tube is connected to the piston shaft and slides within the slider tube cylinder. The slider tube cylinder selectively directs fluid to a top-fill line through the first outlet port or to a bottom-fill line through the second outlet port.
