Fuel system mountable to a vehicle frame
A system for powering a vehicle is provided. The system can include an engine or power generation system to be powered by a fuel and a housing. The housing can be configured to couple to one or more frame rails of the vehicle, receive and protect a cylinder configured to store the fuel to be used by the engine or power generation system. The housing can have one or more access panels allowing access to an interior of the housing. The cylinder can include a first end portion, a second end portion, a central body forming an enclosed cavity for storing pressurized gas, a reinforcement structure disposed over the central body, and a metal foil interposed between the reinforcement structure and central body. The metal foil can be configured to reduce permeation of contents of the cylinder.
Control systems for liquid product delivery vehicles
A product delivery vehicle system includes a product delivery vehicle with at least one tank compartment. The system includes an internal valve fluidly coupled to the tank compartment, a control valve, and an air system comprising a main air valve and a solenoid valve fluidly coupled to the main air valve and to the internal valve. The solenoid valve is operable to open and close the internal valve. The system includes an electronic control unit communicatively coupled to the control valve, the main air valve, and the solenoid valve. The system includes a tank tag reader operable to read a tank tag and transmit a tank tag indicator associated with the tank tag, the tank tag indicator indicative of a stored liquid type in a distribution tank. The electronic control unit may maintain the internal valve closed and the control valve locked when a product type mismatch is detected.
CRYOGENIC CHAMBER WITH MULTI-DOOR ACCESSIBILITY
A environmental control chamber device comprising a vacuum chamber, a controller, and at least one door is described. In an embodiment, the vacuum chamber is defined at an upper face, four or more lateral faces, and a lower face. The at least one door is connected to a respective one of the four or more lateral faces. The four or more lateral faces comprise at least one opening, and the at least one door is configured to seal the at least one opening. The controller is configured to control a pressure and a temperature within the vacuum chamber. The pressure may be a vacuum pressure, and the temperature may be a cryogenic temperature. Each door comprises a peripherally-lined seal configured to maintain a pressure within the vacuum chamber, and one or more radiation shields configured to maintain the temperature within the vacuum chamber.
VESSEL CONNECTION
There is disclosed a vessel connection (220) for a metallic pressure vessel comprising: a wall portion (221) configured to form a portion of a vessel wall; a pipe extension (222) integrally formed with the wall portion; and a channel (223) through the wall and the pipe extension. There is also disclosed a method of designing a canister for forming a vessel connection.
INTEGRATED FILL SYSTEM AND METHOD
An integrated fill system is provided for a vehicle. The integrated fill system can include a container configured to house a compressed gas having a first end and a second end. A first neck mount is configured to receive the first end of the container and configured to restrict movement, and a second neck mount is configured to receive the second end of the container and configured to enable movement. A housing is configured to encase the container and the first and second neck mounts. A fill line has a first end coupled to the first end of the container, and a draw line has a first end coupled to the second end of the container. A filter is arranged proximate to the fill line to prevent contaminants from entering the container.
PRESSURE VESSEL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
One embodiment of the present invention relates to a pressure vessel comprising a plastic liner and a flame retardant composite resin layer formed on the plastic liner, wherein the flame retardant composite resin layer comprises a first composite layer and a second composite layer fiber-oriented in a second direction, contact areas and open areas are formed to be fiber-oriented in a first direction and a second direction, and the area ratio of the contact areas and the open areas is 1:0.2 to 1:1.5. Therefore, the present invention provides: a pressure vessel, which ensures, through structural characteristics, excellent flame retardancy, mechanical strength and shape uniformity, can remarkably improve heat resistance, and can reduce manufacturing costs even while satisfying all of lightweightness, pressure resistant characteristics and fire safety; and a manufacturing method therefor.
HIGH PRESSURE GAS TANK
A storage tank comprises a gas storage chamber and at least one device to hold a component in the storage chamber.
CURVE-COMBINED SQUARE PRESSURE TANK
The present invention relates to a curve-combined square pressure tank with which curves are combined so as to maintain internal high pressure, improve space efficiency, and reduce the weight thereof, and to a pressure tank, in which planes and curves are combined, formed by connecting flat plate members and curved members, having a plurality of aligned tension members for connecting the flat plate members facing each other, and having stress buffer parts formed at connection parts of the flat plate members and the curved members so as to enable internal pressure to be maintained.
