FUSIBLE LINK, GAS TANK, AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING A FUSIBLE LINK AND FOR INSTALLING SAME IN A GAS TANK
The invention relates to a fusible link (100) for installation in a through-opening (4) in a gas tank (1000), having a tension rod (1), a guide sleeve (2) with at least one fluid-guiding duct (2a) for guiding gas out of the gas tank (1000) into the environment of the gas tank (1000), and a fusible sheath (3), wherein the guide sleeve (2) is formed in a ring around the tension rod (1) at least in some sections, and the fusible sheath (3) surrounds the guide sleeve (2) in a sheath-like manner at least in some sections, wherein the tension rod (10) has a tapered section (1a) which tapers in a direction away from the gas tank (1000) when installed in the gas tank (1000), the guide sleeve (2) has at least one predetermined breaking section (2b) which, when the fusible link (100) is installed into the through-opening (4), breaks to introduce fusible material (3a) into the at least one fluid-guiding duct (2a), as a result of which fused material (3a) from the fusible sheath (3) can pass into at least some sections of the at least one fluid-guiding duct (2a) to block a gas flow through the at least one fluid-guiding duct (2a), and the tension rod (1) and the guide sleeve (2) have a higher strength and/or temperature resistance than the fused material (3a). The invention also relates to a method for assembling a fusible link (100) and for installing same in a gas tank (1000).
Three-dimensional layoutlayout method for splicing vault plates of large LNG storage tank
Method of constructing a vault of a large storage tank for liquefied natural gas by first modeling the vault with a 3-D modeling software application, then partially building the vault with a framework and a first set of covering panels fixed on the framework where the panels do not touch each other, but leave a number of gaps between them, measuring the dimensions of the actual gaps between the panels using a 3-D scanner, producing a second set of panels according to the scanned dimensional data, and finally filled the gaps between the first set of panels with the second set of panels, which are much smaller than the first set of panels, making the building process earlier and more accurate, which are difficult issues in building large tanks for liquefied natural gas.
HIGH-PRESSURE VESSEL
A high-pressure container that includes a cylinder and at least one half-shell. The cylinder forms a middle region of the high-pressure container, and includes a multilayer composite plastic as a first barrier layer. The at least one half-shell is formed at an axial end of the cylinder, and includes a multilayer composite plastic as a second barrier layer, and a substantially rotationally symmetrical boss member having an undercut with respect to a protrusion in a direction of a longitudinal centre axis of the boss member. The multilayer composite plastic of the half-shell is arranged axially on both sides of the undercut of the boss member.
HIGH-PRESSURE TANK, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HIGH-PRESSURE TANK, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FIBER-REINFORCED RESIN LAYER FOR HIGH-PRESSURE TANK
A method for manufacturing a high-pressure tank including a liner and a fiber-reinforced resin layer, the fiber-reinforced resin layer having a first reinforcing layer covering an outer surface of the liner and a second reinforcing layer covering an outer surface of the first reinforcing layer includes: forming a cylinder member made of a fiber-reinforced resin and having fibers oriented in a circumferential direction of the cylinder member; forming two dome members made of the fiber-reinforced resin; forming a reinforcing body that is the first reinforcing layer by joining the cylinder member and the dome members; and forming on an outer surface of the reinforcing body the second reinforcing layer made of the fiber-reinforced resin and having fibers oriented across the dome members.
Pressure vessel having grooved liner
Pressure vessels having a grooved liner and methods of forming the same are described. The pressure vessel includes a liner surrounding a cavity therein, an outer surface of the liner disposed opposite the cavity, a boss disposed at a first end of the liner, a composite layer surrounding the liner, an inner surface of the composite layer disposed proximate the liner, and a plurality of longitudinal grooves configured to release gas present between the inner surface of the composite layer and the outer surface of the liner. The liner defines a longitudinal axis therethrough. The boss and the outer surface of the liner define the plurality of longitudinal grooves therein. The plurality of longitudinal grooves extends along the longitudinal axis from the boss toward a second end of the liner. The composite layer spans each of the plurality of longitudinal grooves.
Hydrogen storage tank comprising a plurality of seals
A hydrogen storage tank includes a shell of longitudinal axis, a hydrogen supply and collection duct, and a stack of a plurality of divider elements. Each divider element forms a bottom accepting a hydrogen storage material. The largest transverse dimension of the divider elements is less than the largest transverse dimension of the internal volume of the shell, and the tank includes a plurality of seals in the space formed between the divider element and the shell as a result of the difference in largest transverse dimension.
Precast and prestressed concrete tank with temporary construction opening
A precast, prestressed concrete tank and method that facilitates construction of a primary inner tank within a secondary outer tank, and which permits for the construction of the primary inner tank after the secondary outer tank has been erected, but without requiring insertion through a top of the secondary outer tank, or by tunneling underneath the secondary outer tank, is disclosed. The primary inner tank has an inner wall and the secondary outer tank has an outer wall (precast, prestressed concrete) and wire windings. The primary inner tank is disposed inside of the secondary outer tank. The secondary outer tank has a plurality of first precast outer wall panels, and a temporary construction opening frame. The temporary construction opening frame defines an access doorway during construction of the tank. The temporary construction opening frame is disposed on a foundation base slab.
CLADDING
Cladding of the interior of a component part of a pressure vessel is shown. A lining which conforms to at least a portion of the interior geometry of the component is positioned in the interior of the component. The lining is then pressed into the component past its yield strength. The lining is then fused to the component.
SEALED WALL WITH REINFORCED CORRUGATED MEMBRANE
Corrugated fluid-tight membrane fluid-tight wall (1) including two series of parallel corrugations forming a plurality of nodes (5) at the crossings of said series of corrugations, wave reinforcements (11) being arranged under the corrugations (3) of the first series of corrugations (3), two successive wave reinforcements (11) in a corrugation (3) each including a hollow sole (15) and a reinforcement portion (16) disposed above the sole (15), the two wave reinforcements (11) being developed in the corrugation (3) on either side of a node (5), a connecting member (13) at the level of the node (5) being nested in the soles (15) of said two wave reinforcements (11) in such a manner as to assemble the two wave reinforcements (11) in an aligned position.
