A safety system for a storage tank. The storage tank includes a storage chamber configured to store a working fluid, a first skin forming the storage chamber, a second skin positioned radially outwardly of the first skin, an insulation cavity formed between the first skin and the second skin and a pressure sensor configured to measure a pressure in the insulation cavity. The safety system is configured to monitor a rate of change in the measured pressure and to determine that damage to the storage tank has occurred if the rate of change in the measured pressure is above a desired value.

Pressure Vessel Longitudinal Vents

The disclosure describes a pressure vessel having a first end with a first boss and a cylindrical portion. The vessel includes a liner, a composite shell disposed over the liner, and a first longitudinal vent disposed between the liner and the composite shell. The first longitudinal vent includes an elongated vent defining element and extends at least from the cylindrical portion of the vessel to the first boss.

TANK FOR CONTAINING GASES AND FLUIDS IN GENERAL
20250102118 · 2025-03-27 · ·

The present invention relates to a tank (1) for containing fluids and gases, such as hydrogen and the like, comprising a wall (2), having an external face (21), facing the outside of the tank (1), and an internal face (22), facing the inside of the tank (1), a first internal lining layer (5), made of aluminum or other corrosion-resistant material, a support frame (4), placed between said wall (2) and said first internal lining layer (5), wherein said wall (2) is arranged on said support frame (4), and one or more dispersion nets (3), arranged integrated in said support frame (4), wherein said one or more dispersion networks (3) disperse the gas contained in the tank (1) in case of leaks between said wall (2) and said first internal lining layer (5).

The present invention also relates to a leak detection system (7) and a method of lining a tank (1).

SUPPLY TANK FOR INFLAMMABLE GAS WITH PROTECTIVE CAP

A propane tank with a valve passage containing a valve has a protection cap with a projecting pin which extends into the passage adjacent the valve to provide a secondary seal. The projecting pin is defined by an annular sleeve surrounding a hollow interior extending up to the upper wall where the sleeve has an outside surface tapered from the upper wall to the remote end and an inside surface tapered from the remote end to the upper wall and the passage carries an O-ring seal arranged so that movement of the upper wall in a direction away from the passage caused by pressure release is insufficient to cause release of the secondary seal between the projecting pin member from the O-ring seal. The projecting element extends into the hollow interior to a position beyond the remote end of an actuating pin of the valve.

APPARATUS AND PROCESS FOR CRYOGENIC LIQUID VAPORIZATION TO RE-COOL GAS FOR CRYOGENIC FLUID RECOVERY

An apparatus and process for warming a cryogenic liquid and re-cooling gas for recapture and recovery of that cryogenic gas can include recovery cryogenic gas and storing that gas in at least one storage device to avoid venting such gas to atmosphere. The stored gas can be fed to at least one heat exchanger to vaporize a cryogenic liquid being fed from at least one storage tank for dispending of that cryogenic fluid. The stored cryogenic gas can be cooled as a result of its use as a heating medium for vaporization of the cryogenic liquid and can be subsequently fed to one or more cryogenic liquid storage tanks as a cooled cryogenic gas, partially liquefied fluid that includes cryogenic liquid and cryogenic gas, or a fully liquefied cryogenic liquid for storage and subsequent use.

Low emission receptacles

Low emission nozzles and receptacles are disclosed. A receptacle includes a main body, a first stem, a first poppet connected to the first stem, a valve seat disposed in the main body, a first spring configured to bias the first poppet to a first closed position, a second stem slidingly engaged to the first poppet and the first stem, a second poppet connected to the second stem, and a second spring configured to bias the second poppet to a second closed position.

No emission tank gauge

A no emission tank gauge has a housing having a valve connection extending from a bottom side of the housing, a gauge line within the housing, the gauge line having a plumb bob attached at a free end, a pulley attached within the housing and supporting the gauge line, the pulley configured to allow extension and retraction of the gauge line, and an actuator connected to the pulley and extending exterior to the housing and configured to actuate the extension and retraction of the gauge line via rotation of the pulley. The housing has a window in a wall of the housing facing a marked side of the gauge line. The valve connection has an opening sized to allow for passage of the plumb bob and the gauge line. The housing is sealed when the valve connection is connected to a valve to prevent escape of fluid.
