Electronic device intended for being inserting into a pipe, and method for installing the device
An electronic device includes a body having a threaded portion configured to co-operate with a threaded portion of a duct in a sleeve in order to move the device into a final position when the device is turned. The electronic device also includes a hole punch configured to form a through orifice in a pipe while the device is being turned and to enable the device to be inserted into the final position. The electronic device further includes an electronic module configured to be in contact with a fluid passing through the pipe when the device is in the final position. In addition, the electronic device includes at least one electrical connection connected to the electronic module and passing through the body leading to a top face of the body. The body and the at least one electrical connection form a plug of the duct in the sleeve.

A detection system for use with a pipeline network having a fluid flowing therethrough. The fluid contains an ingredient that deposits on the interior walls of the pipeline network. The detection system is interposed within the pipeline network and comprises a first fluid path and a second fluid path. A material is distributed throughout the interior of the second fluid path that is capable of inducing and accelerating the deposition of the fluid ingredient on the walls of the second fluid path. A sensor exposed to the second fluid path monitors changes in the path indicative of deposit build-up. The sensor communicates with a control system. The control system directs a chemical injector to introduce chemical inhibitors into the pipeline network to inhibit ingredient deposition on the walls of the pipeline network.

The power supply device includes: a thermoelectric generator connected to the rechargeable battery; a first heat exchanger and a second heat exchanger respectively in contact with two opposite sides of the thermoelectric generator; a vortex tube which receives part of the natural gas from the distribution network and divides it into a colder portion and into a warmer portion; a first duct suited to convey the colder portion into the first heat exchanger; a second duct suited to convey the warmer portion into the second heat exchanger.
