Portable lighting device with ramp-down capability
A lighting device including a light source, one or more input devices, and an electronic processor. The electronic processor is configured to receive an input to illuminate the light source at a first illumination intensity value associated with a first operating mode and operate the light source at the first illumination intensity value based on the received input. The electronic processor is further configured to initiate a ramp-down operation of the light source from the first illumination intensity value. The electronic processor is further configured to receive a first mode change input to change from the first operation mode to a second operating mode at a first time, wherein a second illumination intensity value is associated with the second operating mode, and, in response to receiving the first mode change input, control the output of the light source to output a third illumination intensity value.
Corrosion-resistant epoxidized vegetable oil can interior coating
A coating composition comprising epoxidized vegetable oil, an amine terminated polyamide and a silicone resin is disclosed. Substrates coated at least in part with such coatings are also disclosed.
Lighting apparatus having ultra-low mode
A lighting apparatus includes a light source operable to emit different levels of brightness, and a user interface configured to be selectively actuated by a user to turn the light source off and on. When the light source is off and the user interface is actuated for a first amount of time, the light source turns on in a first mode in which the light source emits a first level of brightness. When the light source is off and the user interface is actuated for a second amount of time that is different from the first amount of time, the light source turns on in an ultra-low mode in which the light source emits a second level of brightness.
Portable lighting device with multiple mounting features and configurations
A portable lighting device having multiple mounting features providing multiple mounting configurations allowing for hands-free lighting in various situations and locations. The portable lighting device comprises a housing with (i) a front bezel configured to receive a primary optic; (ii) a central support having a securement means and a peripheral segment configured to receive an extent of a cap of a bottle; and, (iii) a rear body having a multi-positional assembly, a coupling means residing within the multi-positional assembly, and a mounting means. The lighting device also includes an illumination assembly having a light source configured to emit light beyond the housing to illuminate a surrounding area, and a power source disposed within the housing and operably coupled to the illumination assembly. The multi-positional assembly is movable between a retracted position and a deployed position that improve the utility of the portable lighting device.
Spotlight Headlamp
An improved headlamp having a wearable headband configured to wrap about a user's head, an array of lights attached to the headband to direct a wide band of light outward, a directional spotlight attached to the headband to direct a narrow beam of light—relative to the wide band from the array of lights—and a heat sink configured to dissipate heat from the directional spotlight. The array of lights and spotlight preferably include an LED strip and at least one LED PCB, respectively. The heat sink is preferably comprised of a housing frame and/or fastening hardware for the directional spotlight.
Electrical device having a maintained on off switch
An electrical device, such as a flashlight includes an on-off switch that is movable between a maintained actuated position and a maintained unactuated position. The device has a body containing an electrical assembly that includes a power source, a switch, and an actuated member, such as a light. The switch includes a first conductor attachable to a first terminal of the power source. The switch member includes a switch portion that has a generally sheet-like portion that is disposed adjacent to the second terminal of the power source. The sheet-like portion includes a deformable central portion surrounded by a retained perimeter. The deformable portion is movable between a maintainable actuated position wherein it contacts the second terminal of the power source, and a maintained unactuated position wherein it is spatially separated from, and not in contact with, the second terminal of power source
Tail switch arrangement for a light
A switch for a light may comprise: an electrical switch actuatable in a direction transverse to the electrical switch; a switch actuator including: a plunger adjacent the electrical switch movable pivotably for actuating and de-actuating the electrical switch. A flexible boot may move the plunger toward the electrical switch when the flexible boot is pressed. The electrical switch is actuated when the flexible boot is pressed toward the electrical switch or at an angle therebetween. The switch may be adjacent a reference plane surface in a light body of the light.
Flashlight assembly having rotary cam-actuated push-button switch
A flashlight including a light source, a power source, at least one push button electrically coupled to the light source and power source, and a rotatable switch assembly comprising a wheel, a cam fixed to the wheel, and a spring, wherein rotation of the wheel to different positions causes the cam to interact with the spring such that the at least one push button is selectively depressed, resulting in adjustment of the light source between different states of operation.
Light assembly
An improved light assembly includes aligned directional light sources mounted one behind another. A distal one of the light sources occludes light emitted from a proximal one of the light sources. A reflector is interposed between the light sources, with a convex surface facing the proximal one of the light sources. Thus, the light assembly projects a light field extending at least through an 180° hemisphere, and up to about 270° backwards from the forward orientation of the light field, well-illuminating lateral approaches to the assembly.
PORTABLE AND DISPOSABLE UV DEVICE
A handheld portable device for sanitizing a surface or air surrounding a surface. The handheld portable device includes a body that comprises a user input and a UVC light source disposed at the body. The handheld portable device also includes a power source for providing power to the UVC light source. Responsive to actuating the user input, such as by a user holding the handheld portable device, the UVC light source emits UVC light to sanitize the surface or the air surrounding the surface of pathogens. The handheld portable device includes a visible light emitter that, when powered, emits visible light to indicate the surface or space that is irradiated by the UVC light.
