Task-area light

A light assembly includes a base, and a first light source supported by the base. The first light source includes a first light emitting diode configured to emit light in a first direction from the base. The light assembly additionally includes a second light source supported by the base, the second light source including a plurality of second light emitting diodes configured to emit light in a second direction from the base. The second light source is obliquely oriented relative to the base. The light assembly additionally includes a diffuser supported by the base, the diffuser extending upwardly from the base to enclose the first light source. The diffuser diffuses light emitted from the first light source to the surrounding area in an upward and outward direction.

Settable multi-spectral flashlight

A multi-spectral flashlight includes a housing, a battery disposed in the housing, a power switch, a LED module including a plurality of LEDs which emit different colors of illumination, a LED driver coupled to the LED module, and an alternate illumination selector switch coupled to the LED driver. The LED driver is configured to drive the LED module in a default illumination mode in response to a first user operation of the power switch and a selected alternate illumination mode in response to a second user operation of the power switch. The LED driver is further configured with a plurality of selectable pre-determined alternate illumination modes which include different colors of illumination. The LED driver advances through the plurality of selectable pre-determined alternate illumination modes in response to operation of the alternate illumination selector switch, allowing selection of one of the plurality of modes as the selected alternate illumination mode.

Simulated flame device

Simulated flame devices are shown and described having first and second diffusers, each with a sheet having a series of lines etched or embedded on the sheet. A PCB is disposed behind the first and second diffusers and comprises a plurality of light sources disposed or embedded on the PCB. The first and second diffusers may wrap about the PCB to create a 360 degree effect, and the diffusers themselves act to stretch the light emanated from the light sources in a vertical direction. The use of the two diffusers along with changing a brightness of some or all of the light sources over time simulates a moving flame.
