Reflector lamp with push-push adjustment assembly for varying a light beam angle thereof
11242978 · 2022-02-08 · ·

A reflector lamp including a light source, a lens or a reflector arranged coaxially with the light source in a spaced-apart fashion, and a push-push adjustment assembly for varying a beam angle of the light beam in a push manner. The push-push adjustment assembly includes a frame coupled fixedly to the lamp, an actuator in operative connection with the lens or the reflector, wherein the actuator movably rests in the frame so that the movement of the actuator enables the lens or the reflector to slide relative to the light source thereby to provide variable axial spacing between the lens or the reflector and the light source, and a push-push latch mechanism coupled to the actuator and/or the frame to move the actuator in the frame in a push manner, and to latch the actuator in different latching positions of the frame.

A reconfigurable modular cornice box display system includes a cornice box having a front member, a left member and a right member which collectively form an outwardly facing display surface. One or more decor pieces can be selectively positioned and magnetically affixed anywhere on the display surface. The decor pieces are magnetically affixed to discrete elements arrayed in the cornice box. A decor piece illumination system includes a tri-color back light source and a magnetic sensor associated with each of said discrete elements operative to sense the magnetic coupling of a given decor piece to a given discrete element and to back illuminate said given décor piece. An electronic control system selectively activates the décor piece illumination system in response to operator inputs and microprocessor based programming instructions. A flood light assembly is disposed within said cornice box which is longitudinally and rotationally repositionable. The light sources are tri-color devices.

Illumination optical system with tunable beam angle
09732937 · 2017-08-15 · ·

An illumination optical system with a tunable beam angle (IOSTBA) is presented to achieve different beam angles without changing parts. The IOSTBA includes a light source and a post having a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end in optical communication with the light source, an internal area of the post having a reflective surface. Also shown is a diffuser disposed across the end of the post, the diffuser in optical communication with the post and a reflector surrounding a portion of the post, the reflector movable along a length of the post. A position of the reflector along the post determines a beam angle of a resulting light beam exiting the IOSTBA. The system features a simple and cost effective optical design which works with a variety of light sources, including color mixing and champing strategies.

ILLUMINATION METHODS AND APPARATUS

Illumination methods and apparatus which are well suited for use with camera devices are described. The methods are well suited for use with a rolling shutter. In some embodiments, plurality of lighting elements are provided and controlled in a manner which is synchronized with operation of the rolling shutter. While the portion of an area which is being captured by the sensor is illuminated during the image capture process, lighting elements corresponding to portions of the area which are not being captured are not activated when the corresponding area portion is not being captured. In this manner the entire area is not illuminated at the same level for the entire image capture period and energy is used more efficiently as compared to devices which illuminate a complete area at a consistent illumination level for the full duration of an image capture time period in which a rolling shutter is used.
