Decorative lighting system

A sleeve for decorative lighting helps prevent tangled lighting wires. The sleeve has clamps at each end that clamp the lighting wires. The sleeve is flexible and may be elastic. The sleeve may be a light diffuser so that the decorative lighting can be used while in the sleeve. A decorative lighting string has retractable lights and may be at least stored in the sleeve.

Enclosure with grommetless strain relief

Enclosures with grommetless strain relief are provided, each including a base and a cover. The base has a bottom and four sidewalls arranged to provide an open box-like structure. A first of the sidewalls of the base is configured with a wire routing slot at its perimeter. The cover has a top and four sidewalls arranged to provide an open box-like structure configured to couple with the base, so as to provide a strain relief for an electrical wire passing through the wire routing slot. The wire is pressed against a length of the first sidewall of the base by a first sidewall of the cover. The enclosure may include other features, such as rounded edges in the wire routing path, a wire guide and/or strap to inhibit wire movement between the first sidewalls, and/or one or more locking mechanisms configured to secure the cover to the base.

A Cast Guard Unit (CGU) light fixture is suitable for dry and wet areas and seals a wiring cavity using a single O-Ring. A cylindrical projection of the CGU center telescopingly engages a cylindrical cavity in the CGU top to varying depth and flanges on the CGU center and CGU top sandwich a light shade. The engagement of the cylindrical projection into the cylindrical cavity is free to vary to accommodate varying thicknesses of various light shades. The O-Ring resides between the cylindrical projection and the cylindrical cavity sealing the wiring cavity.

A UV sanitization system includes a UV lamp fixture for housing an ultraviolet (UV) lamp module. A slot of the UV lamp fixture includes a pair of depressible pogo pins configured to make contact with electrodes of the UV lamp module. The slot of the UV lamp fixture further includes a ramp configured to guide the UV lamp module into the slot to a position where the UV lamp electrodes snap into engagement with pogo pins to provide haptic feedback to the user that the lamp module is fully and properly inserted into the slot. The UV lamp module may be just as easily removed, simply by gripping edges of the UV lamp module and removing it from the slot.

SOLAR-POWERED LANTERN WITH SIMULATED EDISON BULB

A solar-powered lantern uses light-emitting diodes to simulate an old-fashioned Edison-type bulb. The lantern comprises a housing having an upper edge defining an upper surface, a lower edge defining a lower surface, and a sidewall between the upper and lower edges. The lower edge of the housing transitions into a shade portion that extends downwardly from the housing. In the preferred embodiment the housing is cylindrical, and the shade is a conical shade having an upper edge coinciding with the lower edge of the housing. A light bulb also extends downwardly from the lower surface of the housing, and the light bulb is surrounded by a cage. A solar panel is disposed on the upper surface of the housing. A rechargeable battery is disposed in the housing, and the rechargeable battery is recharged with electrical energy generated by the solar panel.

Illumination device

An illumination device that can obtain high withstanding voltage performance while making heat transfer to a casing from a light-emitting element favorable is provided. In a sports illumination device including a COB type LED as a light source in a casing, a base plate that has the COB type LED mounted thereon and is formed from a high thermoconductive material, to which heat of the COB type LED is transferred, is included, the casing is provided with an engaging hole with which the base plate is engaged in a state in which a part of the base plate is exposed outside the casing, and an insulation packing is provided at a site of contact of the base plate and the engaging hole in the casing.
