PROTECTIVE THEFT PREVENTATIVE EXTERIOR SHADE FOR LIGHT FIXTURES
20220214029 · 2022-07-07 ·

The present invention relates to a protective exterior shade/luminaire provided with a thread base cover and a protective canister with light-distributing thread to protect light bulbs installed in ceramic bases/sockets against weather, dust, water, shock and to provide longer life and better appearance of the light bulbs, for use in the home, in industry and in general. The thread of the base cover and the protective canister ensure a secure assembly in a firm manner and prevent the theft of the light bulb and its parts. The protective covers eliminate the need to remove the ceramic bases/sockets, because the protective exterior shade/luminaire is placed between the light bulb and the ceramic bases/sockets.

Edge-lit lighting fixtures

Edge-lit lighting systems employing a light module for mounting a LED light source with ease of installation and removal on fixtures are described where the frame for the lighting system bears an internal skeletal pre-load bar to keep the frame planar. Multiple frames may be combined with alignment plates and joining hardware and a suspension system that gives the fixtures stability, strength and great functional advantages when used in various forms of architectural lighting.

An illumination device (e.g., an electric candle, etc.) generally includes a housing, a light source, and a pendulum supporting the light source. The pendulum is pivotally coupled to the housing and is configured to move the light source relative to the housing. The illumination device also includes a control unit for providing power to the illumination device and for controlling operation of the light source, and at least one wire electrically connecting the light source to the control unit. The at least one wire has a diameter of about 0.5 millimeters or less to avoid impact of the wire to the pivotal movement of the pendulum.

Light Bulb

A light bulb includes a housing, an illuminating component, a driving circuit board, a light transmitting component and a lens. The housing has a circumferential opening and a cavity chamber therein. The illuminating component is disposed within the cavity chamber. The driving circuit board is disposed inside the cavity chamber. The driving circuit board is also electrically coupled to the illuminating component. In addition, the driving circuit board drives the illuminating component while being powered up. The light transmitting component is disposed within the cavity chamber and affixed to the illuminating component. The light transmitting component includes a plurality of transmitting microstructures on its surface that uniformly distribute lights emitted from the illuminating component along an axial direction of the light bulb. The lens is disposed within the cavity chamber. The lens also focuses the uniformly distributed lights on a predetermined range along the axial direction of the light bulb.

A ring-shaped light-distribution component includes a light-distribution component body that has a ring-shaped accommodation space and a light incident surface and a light emergent surface respectively located on two sides of the light-distribution component body. The ring-shaped accommodation space accommodates at least two light-emitting units distributed along its circumference. An inner wall of the ring-shaped accommodation space is the light incident surface, the light incident surface including an inner light incident surface near the center of the ring light-distribution component and an outer light incident surface away from the center. A deflection angle of light projected by the light-emitting unit and deflected by a portion of the light-distribution component body corresponding to the inner light incident surface is a first deflection angle, and a deflection angle of light deflected by a portion of the light-distribution component body corresponding to the outer light incident surface is a second deflection angle.
