Troffer light fixture retrofitting kit and method to install the same
A retrofit kit for a lay-in troffer LED luminaire comprising two sets of connecting beams, with a first set being arranged in a parallel orientation and a second set of connecting beams oriented in a perpendicular manner with respect to each of the first set of beams. Each set of connecting beams are engaged to connected to each other by means of multiple coupling retainers and clamping hooks matched with each other to form a quadrangular bracket capable of containing the troffer. Compressible and extendable fastening means are further placed at the lateral sides of the troffer. And the troffer is connected to the ceiling through the allocation with the bracket by making fastening means aligned with the connecting holes on the first or the second sets of connecting beams that receive the fastening means.

LED lighting methods and apparatus
LED related lighting methods and apparatus are described. Various features relate to water tight light fixtures. Some of the fixtures are spotlights while other fixture are intended for in ground use. The light fixtures in at least some embodiments include power control features. In spotlight embodiments beam angle and power or light output can be controlled without opening the light assembly or compromising the water tight seals which also protect against dirt. In ground embodiments support tilt angle setting which allow a user to set the light fixture to one or more tilt angles. Beam angle can also be changed in some embodiments as well as power control. Beam angle, power control and tilt angle adjustments are supported in some embodiments but need not be supported in all embodiments with some embodiments using one or more of the described features but not all features.
Luminaires and light source retention components
A luminaire and retaining device that retains LEDs in a housing of the luminaire through the use of a mechanical interface with the housing. The retaining device has a shape that engages the housing through a ratcheting feature, and allows the LEDs and retaining device to be removably installed in such a way that manufacturing time is reduced. This provides for easy of replacement or servicing of the LEDs.
EDGE LIGHTED PANEL
A panel lighting system includes a translucent panel formed to include a channel in a boundary wall of the translucent panel. A flexible circuit board may be mounted on the boundary wall such that LEDs mounted sequentially on the flexible circuit board extend into the channel. The LEDs may be fixedly maintained in the channel by the flexible circuit board being adhesively coupled with the boundary wall adjacent the channel. The system may also include an edge connector coupled to the boundary wall. The edge connector may be a corner edge connector or a side edge connector configured to fixedly hold a coupler that couples and provides strain relief for a cable.
Artificial candle with flexible shroud resembling a candle flame
An artificial candle has a delicate glowing shroud or sock that can flutter like a candle flame, and the shroud may surround a wick that can be seen through the shroud to glow. Such a diaphanous shroud can be actuated by a fan, air pump, solenoid or conductor, which can be provided adjacent to the shroud or distanced from the shroud, for example in a central body of a chandelier. The wick may be lighted by a light emitting diode (LED) or other light source, and the shroud can include fluorescent material that absorbs and reradiates some of the light from the light source. The wick and the shroud can be coupled to a shaft that simulates a wax candle body. A standard threaded fitting can be provided so that the artificial candle can thread into a socket to replace a light bulb.
Elongated lighting device with adhesively affixed reflector and lighting element carrier, and method of assembly
A lighting device includes an elongate housing with a light exit window, a carrier assembly disposed within the housing and having a plurality of SSL elements, a reflector having a plurality of apertures and positioned between the housing and the carrier assembly, and an adhesive extending through the apertures and fixing the carrier assembly and the reflector to the housing. A method of assembling the lighting device and of a luminaire-including the lighting device are also disclosed.
Light fixture bracket and light fixture assembly
A bracket for use with a recessed light fixture includes a side wall. A first bendable tab is positioned in the side wall. A second bendable tab is positioned in the side wall, the second tab being offset from the first tab. A retainer extends from the side wall.
