A light emission device according to the present disclosure includes: a collimated light source; a planoconvex lens having a flat surface and a convex curved surface, the planoconvex lens being configured to converge collimated light that is emitted from the collimated light source to form a convergent beam; an optical member configured to be irradiated with the convergent beam; and a housing in which the planoconvex lens is housed. The housing includes a lid configured to support the optical member, the lid having a through hole for allowing the convergent beam to pass through. The lid is in contact with at least a portion of the flat surface of the planoconvex lens.

LED lighting methods and apparatus

LED related lighting methods and apparatus are described. Various features relate to water tight light fixtures. Some of the fixtures are flood lights. The light fixtures in at least some embodiments include power control features. In flood light embodiments beam angle and power or light output distribution can be controlled without opening the light assembly or compromising the water tight seals which also protect against dirt. The light fixtures also support tilt angle adjustments and light fixture head adjustments. Beam distribution pattern can also be changed in some embodiments as well as power control. Beam distribution pattern, power control and tilt angle adjustments are supported in some embodiments but need not be supported in all embodiments with some embodiments using one or more of the described features but not all features.

A frameless night light with interchangeable decorative front cover that solves prior inoperability of night lights that don't have easy access to the night light fixture and bulb and therefore become inoperable when the bulb and/or night light fixture ceases to work. This night light allows for easy replacement of front cover that is an improvement over many night lights wherein night light is inoperable if front cover is damaged. This night light allows for more emitted light than a traditional night light due to the light being able to shine through the front as well as all four sides (left, right, top, bottom). Night light omits the left, right, top and bottom sides that are included in many night lights, helping save on the material and manufacturing cost without loss of capability. The direct-print printing process allows the customer to choose various designs. The shape of night light is not limited to square.

An end cap boot has two end cap covers, each having a back wall, a side wall, and an interior pocket extending the length of the back wall and the width of the side wall. The end cap covers are configured to overlay one another, with the distal end of a neon lamp located therebetween, such that the pockets of the end cap covers fully encapsulates the distal end of the neon lamp. The method includes the injection of a glue material through one of the end cap covers, ensuring that the glue material completely fills the interior pockets surrounding the distal end of the lamp, thereby providing a permanent, waterproof seal at the end of the lamp. The end cap boot can be used both for fully enclosing a neon lamp or for enclosing the distal end of a lamp with extending electrical wiring.

Portable lighting device with mounting features

A portable lighting device includes a light source, a body supporting the light source, the body including a base having a bottom surface opposite the light source, and a mounting assembly coupled to the base, the mounting assembly including a movable tab. The tab is movable relative to the base between a stored position in which the tab is positioned adjacent the bottom surface and a deployed position in which the tab extends outwardly from the bottom surface. The tab is configured to at least partially support the portable lighting device when the tab is in the deployed position.

Bracket for mounting a cover in a lighting unit

A bracket for mounting a cover to a lighting unit. The bracket includes a mounting portion and a supporting portion that are pivotally connected together. The mounting portion includes a support surface to contact against and support the cover. The supporting portion is movable relative to the mounting portion between an open position away from the mounting portion and a closed position in proximity to the mounting portion to support the cover over the lighting unit. A lock includes a first arm on the mounting portion and a second arm on the supporting portion. The first and second arms are positioned to engage together to secure the supporting portion in the closed position.

The lightguide is configured to receive light from a light source through an edge thereof and emit the light through a major surface thereof and the light emitting opening. Further, the sealed luminaire includes a sealing assembly. The sealing assembly includes a protective lens that is coupled to the housing assembly of the sealed luminaire such that the protective lens covers the light emitting opening, and a gasket that is coupled to the protective lens. A mounting bracket is configured to mount the sealed luminaire in a mounting structure such that the sealed luminaire is clamped between the mounting bracket and the mounting structure and the gasket creates a seal between the sealed luminaire and the mounting structure.

The light emitters are mountable to a lift pad of a lift assembly so that the light emitters are disposed on a circumference of the lift pad. The light emitters selectively emit light orthogonally to the lift pad so that a surface of a vehicle, which is positioned over the lift assembly, is illuminated. The surface that is illuminated is that which would be contacted by the lift pad upon actuation of the lift assembly. The light emitters thus enable correct alignment of the lift pad with a structural element of the vehicle, such as a frame of the vehicle, and allow the vehicle to be safely lifted without damage to the vehicle.
