A fixture for an elongate structure includes an extension module having a housing secured therearound. The extension module includes a longitudinal body portion having first connector and a second connector. One or more access ports extend through the longitudinal body portion and into an interior area of the longitudinal body portion. The extension module includes a first seating surface and a second seating surface. The housing includes a first axial cover extending radially and a second axial cover each extending radially outward from the longitudinal body. The first axial cover and the second axial cover are axially spaced apart from one another and define a space therebetween and around the longitudinal body portion. A circumferential cover extends circumferential around radially outermost edges of the first axial cover and the second axial cover and surrounding the space.

An upright lamp having length adjustable lamp-post includes a lamp-post, a plug mounted on the lamp-post, and a fastener configured for connecting the lamp-post and the plug. The lamp-post has a jack opened therein. The plug is inserted into the jack. The plug has a uniform cross section area and cross section shape with that of the jack. A hole is opened in the plug along axial direction thereof and is configured for receiving the fastener. The hole is intersected with a side wall of the plug. When the fastener is threaded into the volume formed by the plug and the lamp-post, the interference fit joint between the fastener and the volume is realized as the volume is less than that of the fastener. And then, the mounting base module and the fastener are assembled onto the lamp-post.

The breakaway electrical connector including a fuse in a first part and a fuse clip in a second part forming the breakaway connection between the two parts of the electrical connector.

A method of installing a light fixture base to a surface is disclosed that employs an elongated tool that engages a mounting screw in rough alignment with an axis of the elongated member. The mounting screw and elongated tool are inserted through a mounting hole in the base and moved upward through thermal insulation in the base. The elongated tool is then manipulated while viewing both a tip end of the mounting screw and a threaded hole in a mounting bracket attached to a junction box so as to attach the mounting screw to the mounting bracket. The elongated tool then serves as a guide while sliding the base upward along the elongated tool so as to rapidly attach the base to a mounting screw in the mounting bracket.
