Lighted door jamb for an access door
An illumination system is provided for an access door may include an elongated illumination housing configured to be coupled to at least one of an upstanding jamb and a corresponding jamb casing extending along the one side of the access door, an elongated light transmissive cover coupled to the illumination housing, an elongated light pipe received within the illumination housing, an illumination source housing operatively coupled to one end of the light pipe, an illumination source disposed within the illumination source housing and configured to produce and transmit visible light into the light pipe so as to be visible through the light transmissive cover, a source of electrical power, and a control unit configured to selectively apply electrical power from the source of electrical power to the illumination source to produce the visible light.
Walkway paver
A walkway paver including a paver assembly and an attaching assembly is disclosed. The paver assembly includes a paver, preferably made of fiber glass, that is filled with one of water, sand or combinations thereof. Each paver may include a filling opening that leads to an interior of the paver and also allows for easy refilling of the paver. The filling opening is sealed with a plug. Each paver may be interconnected with additional pavers in order to create a walkway. Each paver further includes lights which are used to illuminate the vicinity of the paver and the walkway created for added safety. The attaching assembly importantly includes a threaded fastener that extends centrally through each paver. The threaded fastener extends a predetermined distance into a ground surface to secure each paver in place.
Wall Niche Kit and Related Methods
An installation kit for the production of a niche includes a recess element including a rear wall, four side walls and a projecting frame adjoining outward edges of the side walls and extending away from a niche. At least one of the side walls includes a passage opening formed therein. An insert can be insertable into the passage opening of the side wall on the niche side, the insert defining a recessed receiving space accessible on the niche side of the side wall, the insert including an opening opposing the receiving space. At least one cover can be receivable within the insert to at least partially cover the receiving space, the cover being positionable substantially flush with the side wall.
System and technique for tensioned wall of individual LED tiles
Support wires can be used to hold up light tiles to provide a lightweight display system or technique.
Elongated L.E.D. lighting systems, manufacturing and methods to configure the same
Elongated lighting fixtures intended to be incorporated into thin architectural surfaces, interconnected and configurable as a continuous run with potential to follow the direction of adjacent planar surface in three dimensional spaces while maintaining the structural integrity of the supporting framework.
Illuminating structures with fiber optic lighting
A method of fitting a structural member having a passage with fiber optical lighting, the method comprising: a) drilling a first hole through the structural member across the passage and through opposite first and second surfaces of the structural member; (b) enlarging the first hole at the second surface of the structural member forming a second hole; (c) inserting a cable puller having a cable hooking end through the passage to a point such that the cable hooking end is disposed inwardly from the first hole and second hole; (d) inserting a first end of a fiber optic cable first through the second hold and then through the corresponding first hole; (e) securing the first end of the fiber optic cable against being pulled back through the first hole; (f) withdrawing the cable feeder from the passage, hooking the fiber optic cable by the cable hooking end; (g) pulling a second end of the fiber optic cable from the passage; (h) injecting curable material into the passage through the second hole to encapsulate at least a length of the fiber optic cable within the curable material; and (i) cutting the first end of the fiber optic cable flush with the first surface.
STRUCTURAL/CONSTRUCTIONAL ELEMENT
A structural element, including a base portion and a connecting central pin, has its base portion formed hallow, and having an internal reinforcement in the shape of WOW or MOM, to connect these elements with an insertable central pin so that the cross-section of the pin corresponds to the shape of the chamber between the reinforcements, when the upper surface of the structural element has longitudinal grooves, and is made from a modified polymer or elastomeric material comprising India rubber mixtures. The foundation is monomer ethylene propylene diene or natural rubber or styrene-butadiene rubber and/or combinations of the natural rubber/styrene-butadiene rubber, or thermoplastic elastomers, whose base is monomer ethylene-propylene-diene or polypropylene/monomer ethylene-propylene-diene or polyvinylchloride, or thermoplastic vulcanizates, whose base is monomer ethylene-propylene-diene and polyethylene or natural and/or synthetic rubber, modified by polyethylene or polypropylene.
Outdoor hose storage enclosure
An outdoor hose storage enclosure is an apparatus that securely retains a hose and facilitates the deployment and storage of said hose. The apparatus may include a storage housing and a storage lid. The storage housing serves to retain the hose readily accessible for easy retrieval of the hose. The storage lid serves to seal the storage housing to protect the hose from the environment and theft. The storage housing may include a first lateral panel, a second lateral panel, a front panel, a first attachment mechanism, a second attachment mechanism, a bottom panel, and a hose opening. The first lateral panel, the second lateral panel, the front panel, and the bottom panel form the structure of the storage housing. The first attachment mechanism and the second attachment mechanism enable the mounting of the apparatus to the desired surface. The hose opening facilitates the deployment and storage of the hose.
Heat management subsystems for LED lighting systems, LED lighting systems including heat management subsystems, and/or methods of making the same
Certain example embodiments relate to improved lighting systems and/or methods of making the same. In certain example embodiments, a lighting system includes a glass substrate with one or more apertures. An LED or other light source is disposed at one end of the aperture such that light from the LED directed through the aperture of the glass substrate exits the opposite end of the aperture. Inner surfaces of the aperture have a mirroring material such as silver to reflect the emitted light from the LED. In certain example embodiments, a remote phosphor article or layer is disposed opposite the LED at the other end of the aperture. In certain example embodiment, a lens is disposed in the aperture, between the remote phosphor article and the LED.
