A compact multi-material cut-off tool includes a housing, and an arbor rotatably supported by the housing upon which a cutting disk is attachable for co-rotation therewith. A motor is coupled to the arbor to provide torque thereto. A controller is operable to selectively drive the motor in a first rotational direction and an opposite, second rotational direction. A first lighting element is coupled to a first portion of the housing, and a second lighting element is coupled to a second portion of the housing. One of the first lighting element and the second lighting element is configured to be activated by the controller in response to the motor being driven in the first rotational direction. The other of the first lighting element and the second lighting element is configured to be activated by the controller in response to the motor being driven in the second rotational direction.

A container apparatus can include a container and an insert assembly. The insert assembly can include four elongate members. The four elongate members can include light emitting devices for illuminating the interior of the container and/or temperature altering elements for cooling and/or heating the interior of the container. The container can have a rectangular base and a rectangular sidewall extending upwardly from the base. The sidewall can define four corners of the container, and four elongate recesses can be formed in the sidewall proximate the four corners of the sidewall to receive the elongate light members. An illumination assembly for illuminating drawers of a storage unit, such as a cabinet or toolbox. The illumination assembly is adapted to be coupled to the storage unit by coupling the illumination assembly within a retrofittable or integrated feature of the storage unit to direct or radiate light into a containment space (such as a drawer) of the storage unit when opened. The illumination assembly may also illuminate a facade, sides, underside, or surrounding area of the storage unit.

An accent light controller, method, and light panel are used to provide accent lighting for gaming machines. The light panel includes a series of LED panels. A command is transmitted through a series of LED panels to a final LED driver of the final LED panel in a series of LED panels. In response, an indicator is transmitted back through the series of LED panels to an electronic controller at a gaming machine and received at an electronic controller. Based on timing of received indicator, a number of LED drivers in the LED panels is determined. Based on the number of LED drivers, a configuration of the LED panels is determined from a number of possible configurations. Subsequent commands for activating the LED drivers of the LED panels are transmitted based on the identified configuration.
