Vehicular light guides and assemblies with uniform illumination

A light guide is provided that includes a light chamber defined by isotropically luminant top, bottom, and back surfaces, and a front surface having a translucent lens. The light guide also includes a reflective diaphragm within the chamber that defines a top gap between the diaphragm and the top surface, and a bottom gap between the diaphragm and the bottom surface. The light guide further includes an LED light source located between the diaphragm and the back surface of the chamber. The light guide may also be configured with a front surface having a partially transmissive lens and no reflective diaphragm. A vehicle lighting assembly is also provided that includes a plurality of interconnected light chamber sections comprising light guides.

The light guide pipe includes a recessed curved surface, an output surface, a first convex surface, and a second convex surface. The recessed curved surface faces the light-emitting device. The output surface is opposite to the recessed curved surface. The first convex surface connects the recessed curved surface with the output surface. The second convex surface connects the recessed curved surface with the output surface and is opposite to the first convex surface, wherein the beam enters the light guide pipe through the recessed curved surface, and leaves the light guide pipe through the output surface. The wave plate is disposed on a path of the beam from the output surface. The polarizer is disposed on a path of the beam from the wave plate.

Hollow light duct bend

The disclosure generally relates to efficient hollow light duct bends (200) that are capable of retaining a higher on-axis transmission for partially collimated light propagating within a light duct (220, 230). In particular, the described hollow light duct bends (200) include input and output plates (214, 216) that have low reflectivity for near nonnal incident light, and high reflectivity for near grazing incident light.

The necklace may include a power source in the form of a battery. The necklace may include a projector light and/or a medallion light within the interior of the projector medallion. The necklace may include a control chip within the interior of the projector medallion that may distribute power from the battery to the wire, the projector light, and/or the medallion light.

An LED light engine includes a plurality of LED emitters; a first lens array having a plurality of collimating lenslets corresponding to the plurality of LED emitters, where the first lens array is optically coupled to the plurality of LED emitters and configured to emit a plurality of light beams corresponding to the plurality of LED emitters, each of the light beams including partially collimated light rays; a light integrator optic to receive the plurality of light beams and to internally reflect the light beams to generate a plurality of at least partially-homogenized light beams; a homogenizer optically coupled to the light integrator optic and configured to receive the plurality of at least partially-homogenized light beams from the light integrator optic; and a converging lens optically coupled to the homogenizer. The homogenizer and the converging lens illuminate a gate with the plurality of light beams from the light integrator optic.
