LIGHT MODULE WITH OPTIMIZED OPTICAL IMAGING FOR A PIXELLATED SPATIAL LIGHT MODULATOR, INTENDED FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
20180313510 · 2018-11-01 · ·

The light module for motor vehicle offers a light source associated with a first part of an imaging system so as to produce a reflected beam coincident with the reflection surface of a high definition pixellated spatial light modulator, which makes it possible to avoid unnecessarily lighting the periphery of the spatial light modulator. The light source consists essentially in one or more light emitting diodes and/or has a punctiform or virtually punctiform appearance. The reflected radiation arrives on a second part of the imaging system, this part characteristically consisting in an optical projection system, some of whose elements can form a back focussing system. The module remains compact and is clearly suitable for providing adaptive lighting in a homogeneous, efficient manner and with high resolution.

A vehicle lamp provided with: an elongated light guide member provided in a lamp chamber, an incident end part being positioned below said member; and a light source provided in the lamp chamber so as to face the incident end part. The light guide member has: a light guide main part having an elongated shape in which one end is the incident end part, a prism part being provided along the longitudinal direction, the prism part causing a portion of the light incident from the incident end part to be emitted in the irradiation direction; and a flange part projecting from the light guide main part in the direction intersecting the irradiation direction. The flange part is provided with a reflecting surface that forms a depression angle with a projecting end face when viewed from the incident end part side within a prescribed range viewed in the longitudinal direction.

A light-transmitting member is arranged such that light emitted from a light guide enters. Light which enters an incident end surface is emitted from an emitting end surface. The light-transmitting member has a wide width portion and a narrow width portion. A width of the incident end surface of the wide width portion is larger than a width of the light guide in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the light guide. A width of the incident end surface of the narrow width portion is smaller than the width of the incident end surface of the wide width portion. The incident end surface has a curved surface convex toward the light guide at least in the wide width portion. A curvature of the incident end surface in the wide width portion is greater than a curvature of the incident end surface in the narrow width portion.

VEHICLE LIGHT ASSEMBLY HAVING A REFLEX LENS WITH A LOCKING DETENT
20180209607 · 2018-07-26 ·

A light assembly for use on a vehicle comprising a support mounted on the vehicle, at least one light source and a lens body having a first area for reflecting light and a second area for distributing light from the at least one light source. The lens body further comprises a top wall, a generally opposing bottom wall, a first side wall and a second side wall that generally opposes the first side wall, the lens body also has at least one detent or lock associated with the second area. The at least one detent or lock engages a surface on a support to which the lens body is mounted in order to lock or secure the lens body onto the support. The at least one detent or lock is not visible when viewing an exit surface of the lens after it is mounted on the vehicle.

SIDEMARKER LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND MOTOR VEHICLE LIGHT ASSEMBLY INCORPORATING THAT SIDEMARKER LIGHT ASSEMBLY

A sidemarker light assembly includes a support bracket, a light blade carried on the support bracket and a light source in communication with the first end of the light blade. Light from that light source is then transmitted through the light blade and emitted from a second end of the light blade to provide a sidemarker indication. A motor vehicle light assembly incorporating the sidemarker light assembly is also disclosed.

Provided is a vehicular lamp including a lamp housing, a bracket installed on one side of the lamp housing, and a lamp attachable to and detachable from the bracket to be fastened. Here, the lamp includes a light source module, a guide portion to which the light source module is slidably coupled, and a socket portion installed inside the guide portion and to which the light source module is slidably coupled to establish electrical conduction.

Vehicle light and related manufacturing method

A vehicle light comprising a container body and a lenticular body. The light comprises a substrate that supports a main light source that is embedded in a cover layer suitable to allow the diffusion inside it of the main light beam. The cover layer is disposed on the side opposite to the lenticular body with respect to the substrate. The substrate comprises at least one transparent portion to the light beam suitable to transmit the main light beam towards the lenticular body and, through this, to the outside of the vehicle light, wherein the substrate comprises at least one opaque portion to the main light beam, adjacent to said transparent portion in order to allow the passage of the main light beam exclusively at said transparent portion. The transparent portion defines a main light pattern of the vehicle light.

Light module with LED and OLED diodes

A light module, notably for a motor vehicle, comprising a first light source of light-emitting diode type and a second surface light source of the organic light-emitting diode type suitable for reflecting the light rays emitted by the first light source in order to form a light beam along an optical axis of the module. The module further comprises a collimator suitable for deflecting the light rays emitted by the first source in a main direction and meeting the second light source with a non-zero angle of incidence ?.
